Big_MtnDefinitely not Meadows... you don’t get a timberline pass from working there. You could be a lifty for timberline but positions are more limited in the summer. Windells pays you enough to maybe put gas in your car but you can make bank at staff sale if you have a lot of stuff laying around, also you get housing and mediocre at best food (but definitely still edible), also management there should be a little better this summer from what I’ve heard. CDR is a sweet gig especially if you work at night, but good tips and a pass either way. Gift shop at timberline is underrated in my opinion, I’m pretty sure they have a 2-7 shift that would be sweet because skiing winds down pretty early and you’re already at work when you’re done skiing (as with CDR you get a pass). I’m not 100% sure but I believe you have to start before May 1 to get a pass (unless you work in mtn ops aka lifts) otherwise you get work a day ride a day lift tickets which is fine. There’s a ton of other positions that work well that I can’t think of off the top of my head.
.FryThanks for the quick response, I’ll definitely take a look at that. I have an interview on Monday for Meadows, would it be a total waste of my time to work there over the summer? You made it sound like it’s not really what I’m looking for, but If Meadows has a park over the summer and employee housing that’s good enough for me. I know Windells would be ideal but I can imagine that’s competitive like you said.
Big_MtnMeadows doesn’t have summer skiing, you’d be working lifts for people to go hike or take pictures.
