while holding a camera are they hitting the feature that you're on the drop in for, or are they "snaking" to actually go down beside the feature to film, therefore not actually snaking you at all?

when I film I'm very conscious of what is uphill of me and do my best not to cut anyone off, all while trying to focus on keeping the skier in frame and not eat shit at the same time. If the skier who's actually hitting features and being filmed isn't snaking anyone, and the the person filming is off on the side not hitting anything, or cutting anyone off, I'm very confused what you're mad about?

Filmer and skier duo, follow cam. People standing on the tables aren't hurting anyone. People that cruise past the folks waiting to drop when say, for example, the previous guy hasnt cleared the landing yet and everyone is waiting to see them pop out are what i'm talking about.

Its great you are very conscious of your surroundings while filming but i dont think thats the norm

I bet you stand on the drop for 15 minutes just to straight air a roller.

Most filmers and guys being filmed either are

1. In a group
2. Or waiting for shit to clear so other people aren't in their shots? It's like filming 101.
3. If the guy is doing a switch 5 he probably isn't some jerry and is well versed in park etiquette...so your story doesn't make much sense.

You didnt read what i said, about the not waiting until people are clear? Never called anyone a jerry either, i dont know where youre getting that from. And its this is the exact holier-than thou-mindset im talking about, spot on calling me on my straight airs

I never said you did call him that. I literally said he probably is not one, so it would seem unlikely that he would snake.

And it's kindve ironic that you would bring up the holier than thou argument, considering that's what your op was.

You got a problem with someone, tell them, don't tell us.

Also, the way you worded your post makes it seem like if the follow-cam dude had a RED and the skier was chucking triples, you wouldn't have a problem with getting snaked.

At the end of the day, maybe nobody on Instagram gives a shit about homie's switch 5, but you evidently give enough shits to post about it on the internet.

people flowing/cruising through the park have right of way over people hiking features or sitting on drop ins IMO. especially if they're filming.

what is he supposed to do? stop in the middle of his run and call his drop?

Nobody that can ski waits for a bunch of folks bro-ing it in front of a line. If you just stand or sit there expect to be passed up.

I understand both sides, but it’s definitely a no go to snake other people who have been waiting their turn to hit a feature. Kids also often do this, not just skier/filmer duo.
