Replying to Alta/Snowbird

Alright so I will be officially be heading out to Alta snowbird in a couple of weeks and have a couple of questions. With the low snowpack that LCC has right now, would it even be a good idea to hit Chads right now? I feel as if you go to Alta you pretty much have to hit chads. I was looking to skin up and hit it with my AT setup, would that be a problem? I’ve read about it online here and from the looks of it, the gap doesn’t even seem that hard to do. Me and my buddy plan to bring a couple of shovels to build a jump and hopefully hit it the same day.
