Alta/Snowbird

Alright so I will be officially be heading out to Alta snowbird in a couple of weeks and have a couple of questions. With the low snowpack that LCC has right now, would it even be a good idea to hit Chads right now? I feel as if you go to Alta you pretty much have to hit chads. I was looking to skin up and hit it with my AT setup, would that be a problem? I’ve read about it online here and from the looks of it, the gap doesn’t even seem that hard to do. Me and my buddy plan to bring a couple of shovels to build a jump and hopefully hit it the same day.

I would say do it. 90% of the gap is mental, 5 percent is skill, and 5 percent god blessing.

I'd start off with some mellower tricks IE: straight air, 540, switch 9 etc.

I mean if you're already at alta it's like you've beaten 99% of the game and have one level to go. Just sent it, don't be a pussy. Keep the cameras rolling, + K for live stream.

Haha, this reminds me a ton of that old thread where the dudes wanted to hit Chad's and ended up throwing a fronty over it. Anyways, from what I've seen of Chad's from the chairlift over at Alta, the landing looks a little bare, there's not a ton of snow on it and just a few weeks ago there were still some spots without any snow on them. I'd say check it out when you're out here, don't make a final decision just based off of other people's info.

the landings for chads and pyramid are very very bare right now, i wouldn't advise to hit either espesically in an AT setup

ya dude go for it. i was just there a few days ago and the landing is mostly dirt and grass but i mean candide skis on shit like that all the time and he's not that good of a skier so how hard can it be?
