Make friends in Chamonix, Verbier or Zermatt

Not sure how you're traveling around, but that's going to be a decent bit of effort (especially for just a week). Chamonix is amazing and not expensive, Zermatt and Verbier are also cool but quite expensive and a bit difficult to get to (Zermatt anyway). May be worth cutting one out so you can enjoy the trip a bit more, but that's just me. Air BnB is the way to go in Chamonix, some really great places for cheap. There are some great small family mountains just a short way outside the valley too, you can stay there for a quite a while and be happy.

Skiing at Chamonix is the tits, just realize you can get in as much trouble as you want (or maybe don't want) in Europe. Always know where the tracks lead, you never know who made them first.

Also where would you suggest for big mountain skiing? I ski mostly kirkwood and mammoth so I have no familiarity with good slopes in Europe. I've heard Zermatt, Verbier and Chamonix and I'm planning on spending 2 days at each? Any other places?
