Pivot vs. STH2

I know there are other threads on this.
I know everyone loves the pivots. But why should I buy pivots if they don't adjust as much? If I were to get a different pair of boots I might have to remount? Is this a good reason not to buy them? I've had a pair of new and old sth bindings. Is the look pivot that much better?

that's definitely a known drawback to pivots. if that's something that might affect you, yes, you'd be better off with other bindings. id suggest tyrolia attacks and i dont like salomons but ive heard a lot of great things about the sth2

Besides the DIN setting is there much of a difference between the attack 13 and 16?

i believe the construction is a little different, with more metal in the 16. but i cant remember the specifics, sorry

Buying bindings based on adjustment range is kind of stupid IMO. The pivots have enough adjustability that you wont have to worry when buying new boots. Unless your feet are still growing, in which case you are probably replacing your skis as well.

One nice things about the adjustability of an STH2 is toe height for boot sole wear. Wearing down your soles by over 1mm can lead to very noticeable slop and you can eliminate that slop with the STH2.
