so much of skiing is the same. i'm tired of all those send it skiers in Fis comps and shit like that. last year when i was i Oslo, i skied with some kids, and they were amazed that i could do butters. they really didn't see that many others that did it because all the other skiers there ski in comps and do dubs. so just trying to do something new and have fun with it.

Just saw this and it's like a new take on the worm turn which is one of the coolest tricks IMO. Probably harder than it looks. It's kinda easy to just lose it when you get that far backseat and go on edge.

Because people have been doing ski turns for literally thousands of years, and he managed to find a way to do it differently. And it looks fun.

One of my favorite shots from 2017 was the scene in "Be Inspired" when Dollo and B-Dog were bombing Mammoth and doing crazy carves sorta like this grabbing one ski safety/blunt and holding the edge on the other during a huge turn. I've been trying to get it down this year, shits actually hard af

boy, people sure like misusing that phrase

and skiing has been around for thousands of years dude. yes, the 1700s is when it started to look like what we recognize but the point stands, people have been skiing and therefore turning on skis for literal millennia and this is a weird new way to go about it. that makes it interesting

"your point is invalid." not that it matters, but that doesnt really make sense there. an invalid argument is one where the structure of the argument doesnt prove what you want it to prove, even if the premises are true. the point of his post was "skiing has been around for a long ass time so it's interesting that someone did a new kind of turn," so saying it was only a few hundred years old rather than a few thousand doesnt make what he said invalid

like i said... doesnt matter. just was commenting that internetters love saying it regardless of the accuracy
