and skiing has been around for thousands of years dude. yes, the 1700s is when it started to look like what we recognize but the point stands, people have been skiing and therefore turning on skis for literal millennia and this is a weird new way to go about it. that makes it interesting

SofaKingSick"your point is invalid." not that it matters, but that doesnt really make sense there. an invalid argument is one where the structure of the argument doesnt prove what you want it to prove, even if the premises are true. the point of his post was "skiing has been around for a long ass time so it's interesting that someone did a new kind of turn," so saying it was only a few hundred years old rather than a few thousand doesnt make what he said invalid
like i said... doesnt matter. just was commenting that internetters love saying it regardless of the accuracy
