iFlipI've climbed extensively, both rock and ice. I do it all as far as climbing...trad, sport, big wall, aid, ice, mountaineering. The only thing I don't touch is bouldering.
keithnollyou say bouldering like its a bad word. I bet you climb 5.9
iFlipYes, I've climbed many 5.9s - cordless.
Suck it, sidesnack.
Dustin.Cordless? Drills are cordless. Rock climbs are solo. Sweet job bragging about 5b though.
_Jeffrey_What's wrong with bouldering. Looks fun to me. Don't need all the equipment

iFlipNothing is wrong with bouldering. I simply do not enjoy it, so I do not participate in it. It's also where the vast majority of my climbing friends have gotten injured (pulley injuries, etc). If you enjoy "climbing" for 10-30 seconds at a time, then taking extremely long breaks, smoking large quantities of pot, listening to crappy music, and wearing a beanie when it is 90 degrees outside, then bouldering is for you.
iFlipI was merely putting the sidesnack in his place. And to put you in your place, the term would be "free solo," as one can use many methods to solo with a rope such as a Silent Partner, GriGri (modified or non), a Soloist...and dozens of more techniques and devices. Get learnt.
