Replying to Hard time finding friends who ski

Maybe i'm just terrible at making friends.. I admit it i'm kind of a weirdo in person but once one gets to know me it all mellows out.

I literally have like 3 friends that ski but they hardly come to ski, all of my other friends snowboard. Friends that ski would be awesome.. I love my snowboarders but i'm always the odd one out, I feel like Simba and they are like Timon and Pumbaa. HAKUNA MATATA! It's hard because I'm always having to wait for them and watch out for them so that I don't go straight into them.

I feel I am progressing my abilities at an alarming rate. I am doing stuff now I never thought I would be doing. I have heard that navigating the mountain with friends who rip will improve on your own abilities.
All of the rippers just happen to know each other and trying to be friends with them, let alone ask them to join in on their ski games is almost pointless. I almost feel like they aren't tryna be my homies because they are a part of the Skilluminati and I have to pass a top secret cult initiation to be accepted into the tribe. Being a local doesn't cut it anymore
I did do my research and I found out that many of the rippers grew up skiing together from racing days. Many of them go to the same schools, or work the same places(My Case, but nobody at my work really skis, they all snowboard).
I feel like i'm Rudolph the Red Nose Rain Deer in the local skiing community.
