Went to beer store for friend. Couldn't help but grab some sip of sunshine, victory hop devil, and bells two hearted.
Off the booze sorta. Did almost a week of sobriety but kinda like fuck it till i get back west and get to work. Shouldn't have bought so much beer but i got sendy.
MAP Brewing Strange Cattle New England IPA. This one is a standout. Very distinct taste. As for MT breweries, Kettlehouse makes a great NE IPA as well. I think New England IPAs are becoming a favorite of mine.
Been drinking more local breweries this past year.
New Trail Brewery is my go to at the moment usually pick up a 4 pack of something whenever I'm at the distributer.
Two other good ones local to me are Evergrain Brewing and Collusion.
Anyone got any recommendations for good sours in the mid Atlantic region?
warming hut at Skibowl has the best on hill selection I have seen with a bunch of great German and other euro beers. I had an Andechs dopplebock the other day. Really haven’t tried a beer brewed by Benedictine monks that I am not a fan of

The beer that Tommyknockers brews for Loveland Ski Area is my favorite Colorado craft beer.
It's flavored with pine needles and snowmelt 🥰
You can get it at Loveland, and it's called the Loveland Pale Ale, or you can get it at their Idaho Springs Brewery during the winter and it's called the Pine Bough.
Apparantly it's in cans now though, cuz I saw this photo when I Googled it:
Blessed with Backcountry brewing here in Squamish, BC. Usually also keep some Heady Toppers around for special occasions but with COVID I haven't been back to Vermont in over a year. For cheaper good beer I grab the Parallel 49 tallboy variety pack with IPAs and Pale Ales. Just got into their Pick a hop pack too which is amazing! 4 different beers each made with a different hop so you can learn to distinguish the hops and what you like and don't like. the sabro is really good.
Oh just saw on their Instagram that all the proceeds of the Pine Bough beer goes straight to Loveland Ski Resort employees. They released the cans to the Denver market
Had a couple few Finnegans Tile Factory IPAs last night. Gotta support the Minneapolis brewery that uses all its profits to feed people in the Twin Cities.

neighbors kid has a new project and is releasing this ale in Corvallis OR today. Gave me a couple of these to try and also a cherry porter that they recently canned . Good beer!

Always cool seeing a new brew come to life! I hope all the brewers in the area are able to get back up and running after this pandemic.
This brewery is literally 3 minutes away from me. We are very spoiled in CT with tremendous local breweries. Nice and clean IPA and all their cans are badass.
Upslope Brewing Company Hazy IPA. It's okay but I've had better hazies. Bought it because it was warm today with building clouds, and I associate drinking hazy ipa with that kind of weather.
Fat Tire isn't necessarily my fav beer but damn their marketing has worked on me. Feels cool to support a company that supports so many ski/snowboard films/projects/skiers.
