I'm basically just starting out in the park, and a few weeks ago I learned to slide a tube (thanks to some really helpful guys at wisp's park). I have the basic technique down and i'm pretty comfortable on tubes, but i'm having a hard time transitioning to different features (super tubes, rails, etc). I haven't tried anything too serious, but on super tubes mainly i come off too early (even when i look at the end of the rail), can't really get the right speed down, don't have the time to focus on applying the techniques that I learned, etc. I just want to get one feature down before I try anything else, but even after several hours of hiking the tube i couldn't get it and now i'm not sure where to go from here. Should i keep trying to stick the tube before moving on, or should I just try a bunch of things in the park (like shorter rails instead of longer tubes) and see whats most comfortable to me? If you were in a similar situation, what did you do? Any pointers in general for hitting tubes, longer features, rails, etc? All advice is welcome.
Also, though I don't have any pics of the super tube i'm trying to get down right now, the super tube was about twice as long as the shorter one, and the kicker on the longer one gets you right on the tube while the shorter one had to be hit slightly from the side. Idk if that info helps visualize it at all. This is the best pic i have of the tube:
Thanks in advance
