Anyone here know much about the Marker touring bindings? I can get a deal on them but can't decide between the Kingpin or Duke. Obviously the Kingpin is way better for going uphill (Kingpin at 750 G vs Duke at 2760 G) but I'm not sure how much they can withstand on the way down.
I'm not dropping T-Hall Pillow lines or anything but I want something that can handle 10-20 ft cliffs, butters, decent size jumps, switch landings, etc. I'd love to go with the Kingpin to make the way up easier but want to make sure they can do what I need them to on the way down. Link below is a clip of the time I ripped out my toe piece trying a butter 5 off of a drop in the side country and had to ski back in bounds on one foot. I'd rather not have to do that out in the proper BC.

If it helps, I hover between 180-190lbs.
Bonus question: Also curious which skins people prefer for steep inclines? The side country track at my home resort is pretty steep. Could just be my technique but I've found myself sliding back a bit on the skins I've borrowed.
Bonus bonus question: Are there any fat Volkl skis that are light but can charge? May as well capitalize on the pro deal and get a whole setup.
