Rossi FKS broken brake help

So I decided to get FKS’s this season after hearing many good things about them. Well on my 3rd day on them the brake popped out of place. It bent as well but that’s pretty common. I was just surprised that it popped out of place that quickly (hope someone understands what I’m saying) I’m not that hard of a skier and it’s pretty disspointing for them to break that quick. I was just cleaning up on my 270’s on and took a few minor falls. Is this common and what should I do. I couldn’t really fix them on he hill. I’m going to try again once the snow melts from then when I’m home. Can a shop fix this or do I need to contact Rossi. Thanks guys!

That's odd....i have never seen or heard of the brake popping out like that. However it is fixable from what I see....take them to a shop if you don't know much about fks, as you are going to have to fully disassemble the heel piece. Along with that, bending that brake is going to require a heat source and finesse.

If you are dead set on doing it yourself there is a great video I can dig up.

Along with that, bending that brake is going to require a heat source and finesse.

Hey man that would be much appreciated!! As you can see the spring popped out right behind that rectangular black plate and the brake popped out of position where it was fastened under this metal piece under the black plate. Hard to explain with words. But maybe I could take some close up photos. Would I have to unscrew the binding from the ski to dissemble the heel piece?

i have a bent brake on a broken ski. I’m gonna take these binders off the bibbys and put them on a new pair. Should I bend the brake back before removing the bindings, or should I just take the bindings to the shop and they’ll deal with it when they do the mount?

You see when he pulls his brake out of the binding. Both sides of the brake stay intact with the black piece. If I were to dissemble my binding. My left side brake wouldn’t be conected to that metal piece under the black rectangle.

Cut them off and use tele leashes.
