It's getting so bad here in CO i'm getting desperate. I've always dreamed of spending a season in Europe somewhere, and now may be the time. If anyone has any good tips or actually has a room for rent give me some ideas and options. I'm hoping for some place with a cool village (not a purpose built resort), some trees and of course, a park. But i'm open to any suggestions. OK Euro's help a ski bum out!!!
Well it really depends on your budget. Davos in Switzerland is super sick and had a ton of fresh powder early season when I was there. I also skied Engelberg in Switzerland which is more known for its big mountain skiing but is still pretty tight. The Pyrenees are also a safe bet especially resorts in Andorra which I've heard nothing but good things about. I would definitely say that Switzerland is a little on the pricey side but staying in hostels definitely helps. Engelberg is actually super cheap to stay in if you stay down in the village (still not more than a 5 minute walk from the Gondola). Regardless, Europe is pretty dope right now and I'm bummed to be back in Colorado where we have no snow (can't believe I'd ever hear myself say that).

I have worked in st Anton in Austria and can't recommend it more, insane freeride when the snows about and a pretty decent park, not quite a village atmosphere but great night life and the best apres in Europe I recon (now the largest ski area in Austria too)! If not, I've spent alot of time in the 3valleys in France too and the skiing is sick there, meribel has trees and a couple parks including DC area 43 which can get pretty big when they have enough snow... Both of those have alot of work for seasonaires too normally, hope that helps (when I was there st Anton had a NS crew doing shows I think too?)
