I've had steep for a while now. It's a fun game and sometimes I don't understand the lack of support. They've recently started to reach out to the skiing community with paid endorsements on henrik harlaut's instagram, which is cool. The road to the olympics DLC was way too expensive ($30) but is a major step in improving the game. In my opinion, the game needs more variety. Riding big mountain is great, but it gets so repetitive. They only have a few terrain parks and there aren't many challenges.
It would be cool if they worked with ski resorts to provide a more realistic experience. Think skate 3, how they offered all kinds of competitions, megaparks, and pro riders. I would love to have a DLC where I could ride Breckenridge, or even go to Timberline and ride windells. To ski stuff from real life would be super cool and a great way to hype up for the ski season. The lack of these collaborations is what fails the game to the average skier. SNOW the game has successfully collaborated with so many brands in the skiing community, but their game physics are lacking.
