Just what to hear from some skiers from NZ or people that know about the NZ ski industry about why Ohakune as the closest town to Mt Ruapehu isn't really pumping like other ski towns. I'm from NZ but only starting skiing in Canada and know nothing of the industry in NZ. Obviously comparing NZ to Canada is ridiculous but comparing the ski towns within NZ is interesting
