What to do about missing edge

I know edges falling out underfoot is a common thing that happens, and I just lost my first ever chunk of edge. I have a back up pair of skis that I still need to mount, but I don't feel like going a week without skiing since the shop needs the boots. What do you guys do when a chunk of edge falls out? So far it is only an inch but it will probably get worse because these volkl ledges have horrible durability.

Epoxy. If I was missing a chunk of edge, I’d make a little mold out of packing tape on the base and sidewalk and fill epoxy back into the missing chunk. This can create a “fake edge” which you can sand to be sharp. It won’t withstand the same impacts as normal edges but will still get you by on the mountain and fill in any gaps

When it happens to me I usually just leave it. If it's only an inch then should ski just fine. I tried to repair mine once and it didn't last long and just made it worse in the end.
