Cat tracks worth it?

Been considering getting some cat tracks or yaktrax or whatever but haven't been too fond of a lot of the reviews. Anyone have experience with these? Wondering if it's worth grabbing a pair to protect my heels or just take my shittiest sneakers, put em in a cubby hole, boot in at the lodge and hope nobody is lame enough to steal my shredded new balances...

If your boot has replaceable toes and heels, then it's kind of up to you. If you pick your feet up when you walk, it's not that problematic and your heels/toes won't wear out that quickly. If they do, a new set is like $15-20

If your boot has a solid sole (without replaceable toes and heels) then you should get these.

Cat tracks are awesome

they save my knees and my boots

feels great walking in full tilts. Never have to take off my ski boots

Meh, I just decided to wear my crappiest shoes to the lodge and booted up in front of the fireplace. Nobody bothered them. Like I said, if you're gonna steal the old ass NB's I used to wear for work, you need them more than I do haha. I think my next boots are gonna be some AT's though. I've only been a dedicated skier for about a month and I'm already hating my cheapie boots.

my shop charged me $50 for dalbello replacements. I felt that was a little much. Dalbello sucks cause you can’t order parts directly from the website.

Were they just simple plastic ones, or were they fancy Vibram rubber or something like that?

I'm kinda over these boots anyway. Think I'm gonna upgrade sooner rather than later. I need narrower last since I've progressed faster than anticipated.
