Last night my piece of shit head caddy’s broke while jumping onto a box (whole inside edge broke off) I need some new skis fast and came upon my dream ski on Craigslist for pretty cheap, the 2016-17 Tom Wallisch’s. The only problem is the head caddy’s were about a 171 and the Tom wallisch’s are a 164. Does it really matter that much and will these skis slow me down and be harder to jump? I’m about 5’ 11” and weight 138lbs. Thanks for the help!

Quite honestly, a 164 is way too short for someone your size. You should really be on something around a ~175 length (or longer) even if you’re just skiing park

yeah those are really short on you. unless youre not very good or realllly prefer small skis, you want something bigger

I'm about the same height as you and just switched from a pair of 165s to 176s and it's a huge difference. I don't think I could ever go back to a ski that short. The length gives more stability and feels much better. So if I were you I would keep looking. Lots of great deals in sell and trade.

You’d be fine on a 171 TW, but the 164 is probably too short.
i sold last years in a 178 and got this years 171 and I’m extremely happy.
im 5’9, 180, been skiing for 25years and I’m a type 4 skier

Kids on ski blades can hit the same size jumps we can.
