Faction Candide CT 2.0 bindings and mounting

Sup guys,
I recently decided to buy the Faction CT 2.0 2018, but I don´t know anything about bindings, neither where to mount them. therefore I would appreciate a little advice. I read somewhere that -3cm from true center would be kind of a compromise since I´m not that park only guy, but still like to stomp tricks and butter here and there and ride backwards.
So what are your thoughts?

Have them mounted on the "Candide" line (you'll see on the skis). Which I believe is -2 from center.



As for bindings, well it's a matter of preferences (and budget). Some people only swear by Look Pivots, others only want Markers, others Tyrolia Attacks...
I personally have Attacks (11 and 13) mounted on all my skis and I think they're great for the price.

My binding suggestion is Atomic STH2 16. A little on the heavier side, but such a solid binding. As mentioned above, I'd recommend mounting them at the "Candide" line.

Men I just bought them over a week ago and I have them mounted in the all mountain point. It leaves me enough space to either nose/tail butter and, as I’m more a “freerider” rather than a 24/7 park guy they’re fine for me. Also, got marker griffon 13 id’s.

Have about 15 days on mine this season at Snowbird in all types of conditions.. Mounted them 1.5cm back from the candide line which puts them almost exactly between the "candide" and "all mtn" line. I dont ride a lot of park but ski/land switch a good amount and have a playful style. Im super happy with em

Hey,

- Marker griffon 1D 13s -110mm
- Aaatack 13 18/19 - 95mm
- Look SPX 12 Dual B100
Realistically I’m probably going to keep my DIN at 12 as I’m trying to get more into big air this season, but need bindings I can rely on!
Stats: 6’1, 180lbs
Any advice/opinions greatly appreciated!

I personally like the attack 13's. but I doubt you need to ride at a 12 din, even at your size

I just bought a pair of 19s CT 2.0 and will most likely mount them +1cm from the All Mountain line.

Candide's line is the true center of the skis and I feel would be too much park/swtich orientated. If you're Candide or constently in a park landing and riding switch, I'd suggest mounting them a bit before the CT line.

Yeah I have the Tyrolia Attacks on my pair of CT 2.0 Factions and they have been working well so far.

Candide is 2 back already. We recommend our clients that what an all mtn feel to go 1.5cm back from that. The all mtn line makes the ski a pile of dog shit.

Interesting. My understanding is that Candide line is the true center of the ski if you take into account the rockers. For now I'm set to mount them at +1 from the AM line, do you think this isn't enough? I would need to call my shop in that case. Take into considered I do ski groomers/side country 85% of the time.

How many cm is there between Candide Line and AM line?

It’s -2cm from true center but it is core center. The am is -4 from candide so -6 from true center. Max you should go back is inbetween the 2. Otherwise it feels like you’re skiing on the tail rocker almost.

As I said in Excile’s original thread, the Candide mark is just over 1cm(1.15cm to be exact) back from center and it’s 4cm back from that to their “all mountain” mark. I suggested splitting the distance and going 1.5-2cm back from Candide Line which would put you around 2.6cm-3.1cm back of center which is perfect on that ski for your use.

The Candide 3.0 has a Candide Line around 2.5cm back from center as it is more directional in sidecut. No “All Mountain” line anymore on the 2018/19 3.0 but people spending more time going forward all mountain again recommended going 1.5-2cm back from that Candide Line as well.

I'll follow both your advice and ask to push the binding from +1 to +2,5 from the AM line.
