thebusiness19I know this could be seen as an annoying TMZy thread, but I was just surprised he wasn't riding with Red Bull anymore seeing as he took bronze in the X Games last year in the big air and I think he won that Milano Big Air. Underrated, he's one of the more decorated skiers of this decade and I just wonder why Red Bull would not want him repping....

thebusiness19I know he got dropped because somebody commented on one of his instas asking what happened to Red Bull and he said he wasnt riding for them anymore...doesn't necessarily mean he was dropped, but I was just curious if that was the case.
onenerdykidExactly. Just because an athlete is no longer riding for a brand it doesn't mean that the brand did the dropping. For all we know, Kai wanted to get paid X€ and Redbull said no, so he left and is organizing a better deal elsewhere. This happens more than you think.
So you know he got dropped but it doesn't necessarily mean he was dropped... What?
The point is don't go around assuming "Kai got dropped". You have no idea if Kai got dropped or if Kai left Red Bull for his own reasons. The question you should have asked is "Why is Kai no longer skiing for Red Bull?".

kai's contract prolly expired and red bull didnt want to resign him because torin is basically the same skier in their eyes... and kai has that fake gangster style, that i bet red bull absolutely hates.
And do you think kai can even compare to henrik in a big air comp? why sponsor someone that cant win a gold in the only comp discipline he skis in?

And I feel Kai Mahler has one of the most genuine sickest styles in the game right now. Just because Kai Mahler doesn't choose to wear XXXL Pants and sag them to his knees or wear track pants doesn't mean he has "fake" style. For me it's pretty apparent that when he tries a trick and lands it he has his own ways of doing them and it looks different and he isn't trying to land harder a certain way or look over a shoulder a certain way or throw his hands a certain way. And if you think his double cork tripod landing is "fake" style. Please tell me which skier he is copying and how that is even close to a gangsta style let alone a fake style.

scratchskier321kai's one of my favorite skiers. He was the headliner for oakley for a year, had a pro model jacket, etc..... But then he kinda fell off. He was 1 landing away from winning the olympics. Never really lived up to his potential in competitions.

BmxyyMagnus used to do the hood style too until he started wearing track pants and everyone jumped on it too. The real question you should ask yourself. What is fake style what truly is real style??
skiermanYou can chalk up Magnus to having fake ass style as well. Real style is how you ski and have always skied. When you try to copy how others ski from forcing your arms to go a certain way when you land and dressing differently, that's some fake ass shit. Its pretty obvious.

AndrewGravesSVOf course every style is a little bit of a derivative from others out there and no one is completely unique. To say Kai isn't innovating is a pretty big insult to his skiing in my opinion
