So i'm visiting a friend in Montana this winter, he had some plans of going cat skiing with me while I visited. There's a problem tho, I ride Armada Edollos, and am way too broke to buy some pow skis as of now. Do you think some 98 under foot, rockered skis like the dollos could hold their own in some mild powder?
Unfortunately, being from the Midwest, I've only had the chance to ride legit powder three times, all of which I was on AR7's, lol, so I'm not the most knowledgeable on this stuff to say the least.
While I have a feeling cat skiing may be a bit much for the dollos to handle, how do you think they'd do in 6-ish inches of fresh? I'd like to believe that they'll be okay, but I'm very skeptical.

You're honestly better off on the Dentes if you've never skied deep snow on pow skis before.

i just did my first legit powder day at whiteface on a pair of rossi s3 skis. They are a camber rocker mix with a 98 width and are very soft. I have only gotten 3-5 legitimate pow days (3-6 inches) in my midwest experience but whiteface got 9 inches and I had no problems. If I was on my 84 width center mounted park skis, there would have been some issues because I always fall forward on my face when it snows with those skis. Enjoy it man

Skinny skis will teach you how to ski pow properly. Those are also plenty wide....and if it's not mega deep it will get you more face shots anyways.....dont worry so much about it and just have some fun man!
If it is super ultra mega deep usually the cat companies or something nearby has demos!
