Weight Limit for Skiing (beginner)

Hey all!
I have a question. I'm visiting Jay Peak in VT with some friends in a few weeks and going skiing for the first time. I'm about 6' and 300 pounds - big guy, but still fairly athletic: can run and fall and work up a sweat and all that jazz. I'm not worried about my ability to ski as a big guy, but moreso wondering if I'm going to have issues renting equipment... I've been trying to search the internet to see if skis typically have a weight limit, and not finding much for answers for actual skis (just the lifts, which will be fine, it seems). Will an average rental at a mountain be able to accommodate me? Are skis just not meant to support someone my weight? The friends I'm going with are all super small and have ski'ed before, so just trying to mitigate right now if possible... The one coordinating the trip hasn't brought up any possible issues with my size and skiing, so I'm not sure if this is just in my head or a potential issue. Would be great to not have to deal with this awkward question when with my friends. :)
Thanks in advance for the answers/advice! And Merry Christmas to all who celebrate!

I don't think you would have a problem renting skis at all! I am on the heavier side for my height so I go up a size with my skis to help compensate for that. Most resorts will give a shorter ski due to it being your fist time, so Im confident they will be able to size you correctly. The only thing you might run into is boot sizes if your foot is a lot larger then normal. Even then rental boots are pretty universal, as I have never had a problem when fitting people into the boots my shop rents.
Hope you have a great time on your trip!

I would not worry if I were you. If you want simply call Jay Peak. We would have no issue with our rental fleet or even think to question your height/weight. Biggest thing I would recommend is taking a lesson. I'm sure your friends would do alright teaching you, but reality friends don't let friends teach them to ski.
