Jester vs Griffon

Griffons are an iffy binding.. I would say get a Jester if its not too expensive.

STH2, Pivots, and Attacks are all much better bindings in my opinion, though. You can usually find STH2 and Attacks for pretty cheap as well.

I can get like half off marker or Tyrolia so attacks are an option. What do you think ab the 13s though?

Attacks are dope. I'd go with attacks over any marker pretty much everyday. A lot of the freeride team sends hard on them with very few issues.

If you aren't going full metal like a pivot 18 and you are looking to save money the attack 13 is damn good bang for your buck.

I love the attacks. I have owned both the 13 and 16. I think the 16 is a bit more beefy if I’m not mistaken, but when I had the 13 I didn’t notice a problem. If you fit within the din range and can afford it, I’m always a big advocate of going up in the din option, because you only have room to grow, the binding is usually a bit beefier, and your not riding the top end of the spring. Sounds like where you ride your din you’d be fine with the 13, but for reference, I’m 5’8, 140 pounds, 290bsl and ride my attack 16s on my pow skis at like a din of 8/9.

Light, durable, low to the ski, cheap, adjustable.

Attack 13s are an awesome binding and at your weight/DIN etc would be a great binding choice. The Attack 16 has a similar toe to the 13 but with higher DIN springs and more metal in the heel at the cost of slightly higher binding weight. If you were 200lbs plus and dropping large cliffs and running higher DIN, go for the 16 and if not, the Attack 13 is an amazing binding! Have used nothing but 13s the last 3 years on my quiver and they are great. Attacks are easier to get in and out of in powder as well compared to Marker bindings.

I like the attacks but they changed the toe piece and its wide as fuck now. given you are putting them on a wide ski it wont be bad but damn, anything 80-90 mm undefoot and that toe looks goofy as hell. You'd probably be fine on either the attack or the griffon. attack has a better heel in my opinion. Toes are basically the same.

Yeah they’re going on 114 waist skis so it’ll look fine
