Salomon STH13 toe piece wiggle

Hey y’all,
My sth13 toe piece has a lot of play in it when no boot is clipped into it. I tried adjusting the toe height and that didn’t do anything. Is my ski rotting or something? I have no clue what to do besides maybe go HAM with some glue or liquid nails or something. Anyone else experiencing this issue/know what’s up? I can post pics if necessary.

I really hope it’s not ripping out but yeah if I look really close I can see the screws under it, basically that means it’s gonna pop right? the only way I can think of to make it stay on there would be glue or liquid nails or something. I’m gonna ride them tomorrow and pray it doesn’t blow out before I get it to a shop, I have some homies who might be able to put a coil and some glue and shit in there to slightly prolong the life of these puppies.. I’m so tired of blowing bindings lol. Just bought these last May

It could be something silly like the top sheet sticking up where the screws are. Go to a shop and try taking the binding off then sand or scrape around he screw holes so the top sheet is nice and flat. Put new wood glue and put toe piece back on as long as the screws bite you shouldn’t need inserts or anything else.

If you have no experience with bindings please go to a shop.

Something is wrong with your setup and rather than risk injury to yourself, take both of your skis and both of your boots to your local shop and have them take a look.

Don't just take the one ski, take both. If the binding has pulled out and they can't use the same hole again they will need to remount it and then you'll have to go home and get the other ski. For that reason, you bring both boots too.

Update: took them into my local shop today, turns out both bindings including the heel pieces were mounted with the wrong size screws, they’re gonna fix it up for free and I’ll be all set. Thanks for the advice everyone, glad I didn’t ski them today or they would’ve blown out for sure.

how the fuck did those screws not punch through the base if they were that much too long? that shop is lucky....

make sure your base is not dimpled at all when you pick them up
