Hi All,
I'm hoping to add a new pair of skis to my quiver this season and I'm not really sure what I should get. I'm 5'11, 170 lbs, and currently skiing a 2016 172 Rossignol Sin 7 (98 width). The sin 7 works well, but I have a few complaints:
- No full twin tip - riding switch on the sin 7 isn't my favorite
- Heavy & not a lot of pop
- Weak in powder
I originally wanted to get a more playful powder ski (like the Atomic Bent Chelters or Faction Candide 4.0), but then I thought it might be better to just get a more playful all-mountain ski that can also hold up in some extra powder (like the Armada JJs or Faction Candide 3.0). What kind of ski(s) would best compliment my Sin 7s?
Some additional info:
- I'm skiing in Utah at Alta / Snowbird
- I love trees & moguls so I like a shorter turn radius, but I also want to be able to take some wide turns in powder bowls
- I don't ski switch that often, but I've found that the Sin 7 partial twin isn't enough
- I like jumps but I don't do too many boxes or rails
