Copper red jackets?

so I bought the rmsp this season. thought i could avoid vail and the yellow jackets, but apparently copper also has mountain police now? can they pull passes or are they chill?

Pretty chill as long as you're wearing full tilts. I recommend shotgunning beers while straight lining the slow zones.

It isn't just Vail out to get everyone? Who would have thunk it.

Vail leads the pack in some things but I love how everyone thinks they're super corporate but everywhere else is $20 lift tickets, free hot dogs in the lift line, and do whatever you want.

Also regardless of where you are, the mtn safety people are generally only posted up in slow zones and crowded trails. It can be a pain early season though. Limited terrain, lots of people, mostly the main funnels open. There isn't always much to rip.

If you pass any form of mtn safety or ski patrol doing the same thing, just make some turns and slow down a bit if you're cruising. It's not too hard.

When the rest of the mtn opens up, avoid those trails and let it rip

Pretty sure it's ski patrol. They usually only police speeds early season when not much is open.

theyre definitely more strict on weekends and early season when there are less runs to patrol. if you see them just slow down as you pass by like you would when passing cops in the whip. also dont air into anything blind front of them.

Straight-line the slow zones, and spray them with as much snow as possible. Then, when you respectfully ask them how they day is

They are way more chill than Vail's safety patrol. In fact, the only "encounter" I had with them was closing weekend '15/'16 when my snowboarder friends tried skiing and were charging around out of control and getting close to hitting people, and nothing came of it.

I'm pretty sure everyplace tries to have a red jacket ski patrol. There are some cool guy black ski patrol jackets now too.
I read your post a couple of times trying to figure out how to get the free hotdog and $20 lift ticket deal tho so if you can post up more about that it'd be cool. Think I have a 1/2 off window price deal lined up for copper but that's still gon be pretty steep.
