So I’m about to mount up a pair of new skis (Origin 116’s if you’re curious) and have always done it at a more traditional “set back” boot center, but I’ve been thinking maybe it’s time to switch things up and give this whole center mount thing a try. I typically like to get out over my tips and really push into it, plus I’m a bigggggg dude (like Randy the cheeseburger loving dingus from trailer park boys but 37 feet tall). Side note, I don’t have any fancy moves to build my special meter for sick tricks so I just go down the hill really fast. I’ve been thinking it might be nice to have a little more oomph in the back when the inevitable sketchy turn scares the shit out of me at Mach Schnel. So this is my question. Center or traditional, why? Have you tried both? and what are the disadvantages and advantages of both styles that you found while practicing your smoove mooves to impress all your friends. Get at me NS! Mounting that shit first thing when I get to work tomorrow!
