Kinco Gloves 901- Breaking In

Anyone have any tips for breaking these puppies in? I bought sno seal but the gloves came with nikwax so I used that. The wax helped a bit on the breaking in, but they're still rock solid. I used both packets on separate weeks too. I even spent a whole couple nights of watching TV and kneading these suckers.

My problem isn't in the palms but rather the fingers where they have that thick reinforcement. When I close my hands into a fist, the fingers stay pretty much straight. They're so stiff that I could barely feel my ski poles and kept dropping them one day like a total fucking Jerry. It is possible that I bought a size too big since my fingers have about a half inch of space at the tips, but I already sized down on these and I measured my hand as the company described.

Any tips to quickly break these in? Or do I just need to use them and eventually they will soon enough?

The best way to break them in is to throw them in the trash and buy a quality leather glove. If you aren't patrolling, working the resort, or doing nothing but rope tows, then Kinco's are fucking lame.

And everyone who tells you they are the best solution is lame too.

That doesn't help, but thanks anyway. I have expensive non-leather mittens for super cold days. I'm not gonna drop $100-200 on leather gloves; my daddy said I can't spend his 5mil because I crashed his lambo..... But really for $20 they're about the best quality gloves you can get in that price range. They're quite comfortable and warmer than many more expensive gloves I've had in the past.

I agree that people on NS jizz over Kinco's more than ON3P Skis, but for a reason. They're a steal for the price and decent quality.

Oh fuck off, why you always gotta be a downer on the forums man? Some people don't have 150 bucks to drop on hestras or some other shit so we make do with cheaper equipment. Instead of commenting your useless opinions to OP, might as well try and help him with his situation.

Op, best way to break them, or any other glove in is to use them. I've had my kincos for about quarter a season (~20 days of riding) and have full mobility in them. Just keep using them and eventually they'll pack down a bit.

The fuck you talking about? I could literally buy 15 or 20 pairs of Kincos for an equivalent pair of hestras. Not that it would matter, considering I'm using the same pair of Kinco Axemen for 5 years and when they eventually tear or I lose them, I'll just grab another pair at the hardware store for $10

I use a pair of Hestras but I'm not a dick. Whatever keeps your hands warm. Warm hands mean a fun day on the hill. But yeah just keep using the gloves and they will be great

I don't think it was his intention to call out all Hestra owners as dicks. Like you said, whatever keeps your hands warm. It all comes down to personal preference and some people have the extra cash for higher quality mitts, nothing wrong with that.

Personally, I'm worn out with the Kincos vs Hestra debates that have been going on for the last while since kincos became popular again. I think everyone just needs to chill out and not judge others one their gear choice, and that goes for both ways. Some people have more cash to spend, cool, so what? Some people just aren't bothered by buying the cheaper mitt and having to re-buy them every once in a while, thats cool too. Anyone else down for dropping the weapons and having mutual understanding?

My b for the rantyness, Its almost 5am and ive pulled a few all nighters recently. Im done now haha.

Just wear em and wax em.

Takes a few waxes to get them really waterproof, but after about 3-5 waxes it'll be nice.

Leather breaks in differently depending on how you treat it, for example, if you get them wet with no waterproofing and dry them out, the gloves could shrink just a tad bit.

Also, SnoSeal is way better than NikWax.

I use Neatsfoot oil on all my leather goods especially gloves, helps to break them in and keeps them from ever drying/cracking over time.
It will darken the leather quite a bit. You can get it at walmart or hardware stores usually
