Replying to Fight on the hill

just recently was cruising down the hill minding my own business when through my music I heard a hoard of F bombs dropping behind me I turn around and see some dude flipping me off. He claims that I cut him off (i was downhill skier so right of way) yells and me and starts hitting me with his pole. I just couldn’t believe someone could get so worked up over nothing. Anyone have stories of getting in fights or getting yelled at on the hill?
