Fight on the hill

just recently was cruising down the hill minding my own business when through my music I heard a hoard of F bombs dropping behind me I turn around and see some dude flipping me off. He claims that I cut him off (i was downhill skier so right of way) yells and me and starts hitting me with his pole. I just couldn’t believe someone could get so worked up over nothing. Anyone have stories of getting in fights or getting yelled at on the hill?

First fight I ever got in was at my local hill. I was a like 15, riding with 2 of my homies, and grew up 4 miles from the lodge; so my friends and I acted like we owned the place.

A few older dudes from another ski area kept snaking us, snowing us, shit like that. Respectfully, we let em know, this was our hill and we call our drops here. Well they didn't like that so much, and shoved one of my buddies off the slopes into the woods while he was riding, then scooted up the lift like little bitches. We caught up to them at the top of the lift, and immediately took off our skis and boards. I even took off my helmet (MAJOR MISTAKE). Walked up to the dude who shoved my friend, and swung with everything I had. SWING AND A MISS!!! Took me a millisecond to get it back together and in that time this dude clocked me right in my eye!

BOOM, it was on, 4 on 3, and with me being the biggest kid, I had to deal with 2 of em while my buddies were 1-on-1. Honestly when you're that age you have some sort of idea in your head how your first fight is gonna go. Let me tell you, this shit did not pan out the way I thought. After that fist to the eye, the other dude grabbed the back of my head and started throwing knees. WTF IS THAT SHIT EVEN LEGAL?! I managed to pick up my buddies board and bashed this dude in the back of the head like a WWF superstar. He was down for the count, snoozin.

Now it's back to 3-on-3, and I see my buddies getting their asses handed to em. I took another punch, but this time square in the side of my head (should've kept my helmet on!). "OW RETARD YOU HIT ME IN MY EAR!" Next thing I know we are tussling on the ground, and the lifties and ski patrol are pulling this kid off of ontop of me. As soon as they pulled him off I got up, tackled him, and tee'd off on this kids jaw with my ski boots on. Dude definitely lost a tooth or two right upfront, and needed more than a handful of stitches. Patrol was not happy with my cheapshot, but I felt like Edward Norton the beginning of American History X. Word of the fight spread over the walkie talkies on the mtn and the GM came out on a sled to see what was up. Luckily, he was a good friend of my Dad. He pulled the older guys' passes, and sent us home with our tails between our legs. I walked into the house with my 2 buddies, all beat up and bleeding, and my old man just laughed at us and said he just got off the phone with the mountain.

There are plenty of agro douche bags on the hill. Generally middle aged to older men. Also wait till there's a kid involved and the parental instincts kick in.

People need to fucking breathe for 2 seconds before trying to beat up some kid on the slopes they think was too close to them or their child.

Early season at Hood this year I saw 2 jerrys get into it. Some dude was littering and another guy called him out and the dude that littered wanted to fight and the other dude was like ok sure and the litterer got a broken nose and eyesocket then got pushed off the cat track that the fight occurred on. Then the guy that won offered to get a beer in govy with the other guy. Pretty bizarre all around and I honestly don't see the point. You're out skiing just go have fun.

This was a family run ski area in Pennsylvania, and like I said I was lucky enough to have an in with the family that ran it. We used to get away with a lot of shit back then, this being some of the least of it. Including stealing snowmobiles for joy rides, cutting locks on the gates so we could ride our bikes on the mountain, almost flipping my buddies jeep trying to get sendy in the halfpipe during summer, and burning a couch in the middle of the slope in February. I was a teenager and a scofflaw. Luckily this was back in a time/place where it was still (unacceptably) acceptable to fuck off as a kid.

Maybe 09-10 I was raking out a feature at night(night skiing mountain) and heard yelling and screams. Was like wtf. Like an hour before the mtn closed. I tossed on my board and went flying down. 8 or 9 person brawl. Somebody threw a snowball at somebody. Everyone was drunk.One guy got his nose broken. Cops had to get called. Official reports. It was super chill.

We did used to run a cheap ticket and pbr specials on tuesdays there though. Some people just can't handle a few beers and not turning into douchers.



Another time same mountain same year ish. Danetron was working. I can't remember what happened. But a guy tried to strangle him near the entrance of the park. That was pretty chill as well.

Never got into a fight but been irritated plenty of times. Just be chill and ski. Only way I would fight someone is if they hit me in the face or attacked or pushed over one of my friends while skiing.

So I got to an unnamed resort early one day. Probably one of the first 10 cars in the lot. It was sufficiently snowy and gonna be a good day. I parked in one of those rows near the lifts but left a little extra space (not outrageous, but obvious) between me and the car next to me so I could get out and put my shit on blah blah blah. Before I even get out of my car, I hear this guy beeping and yelling at me to move my car over. "Excuse me what? Go fuck yourself. You won't tell me what to do" is what I was thinking. Man I was so pissed. Probably had something to do with my 3 hours of sleep I had the night before. I was about to get out and tell this guy to fuck off in the most outrageous way.... Then my brother told me to stop being a dick and just move. He turned out to be a local or a worker off that day there to ski. Gave me some reason about how I don't wanna be that guy who takes up two spaces and makes people park further away. Yeah yeah yeah he was probably right, but idc I'm getting annoyed thinking about it. The lesson is just shut up and go ski and don't let your emotions get the best of you.

Not so ski related but some of the best fights ive ever seen have been surfing.

Hands down my favorite one was a couple years ago during a little evening surf. The waves were comically bad, i mean maybe waist high slop. Where im from people from inland are generally hated and for good reason. Anyways, this inland guy drops in on a local guy a couple times, and these kids were about the same age probably twenties. So the second time this happens the guys cruise into the beach like nothing happened, all of a sudden they're squaring off in wetsuits which is hilarious to begin with. It was a decent fight until they started wrestling. They get back up and square up again, and inland guy full on out of nowhere MMA head kicks the fucken local guy, broken nose and blood everywhere. Both groups of friends end up bailing after that and me and buddy were the only guys left out there

Some snowboarder almost crashed into me last season and he looks at me said "Maybe you shouldn't be standing here". I was off the side of the trail at the top of a run and I was the downhill skier. Wasn't even on the slope. I called him a stupid cunt and he tried to fight me but tripped over his board like 5 times while stumbling over towards me. After staring at him attempt to take his bindings off angrily for a few seconds I just left

I was going to hit this kinda drop off cat track into another trail and I had 5 people scoping out the landing making sure it's clear. And after 2 minutes they said I was clear and soared into the trail and as soon as I popped this dude completely blindly cuts across the trail and I landed about 10 feet away from him and thought nothing of it. Next thing I know as I'm waiting for my friends he comes up to my curses me out and says he's a lawyer and how if I ever did that again he'd sue me and make my life hell for me and my parents. He was such an asshole and after saying that shoves me off the side of the trail into the woods. It was so dumb because I did so many safety procautions and he just blindly cuts a turn right across the entire trail after being in a pattern of small turns on the other side.

I've never actually seen a real live fight at the ski hill, but when I was a kid my friends parents would take us skiing a lot and they were super uptight and HATED snowboarders. They would more often than not find someone's ass to chew about one thing or another.

My one and only fight was last year, protecting a young kid in my group from a 30+ retard. That guy was going insanely fast for the amount of people over the place and this kid was skiing down a knuckle. He jumped straight and almost hit a 12-13 y/o kid in the head with both of his skis. I picked him up in the lift and he was lucky my instructor found out the situation. Then I just fucked up his lines when I found him, like really destroying them, for almost killing my bud.

Never been in a fight skiing cause ya know... I'm skiing but I did see a pretty good one a couple of years ago.

So I'm lapping the park at my 300 ft. Hill and I come up to the rainbow box and I notice that there's about 5-8ish snowboarders standing on each side of the box yelling at each other but they're all like 13-16 so I just roll my eyes and keep lapping. I ski by again and they're still yelling/cussing at each other and then a few snowballs are thrown back and forth but there's plenty of middle/hghschool tools who ride here so I just keep skiing. Next lap I ski by again and now a few of them are fighting off to the side boards and gloves off, phones are recording, kids are screaming "world star!" And everything. So I stop nearby to watch and one of the kids tackles one of the others but when he gets up the other kids friend swings with legit every thing he has and clocks the kid right in the jaw. Cannot emphasize how hard this punch was, you could practically feel it and the kid flew to the ground. When he got up was bleeding a good amount and was missing a tooth. The kid yells about how his mom is gonna be so pissed he lost a tooth and then ski patrol comes and everyone scuttled away and continued to shred.

There's this weekend warrior on Hood I see often. I saw him at Tline 2 days ago and I would always see him at Skibowl every Saturday and Sunday when I work. He's a snowboarder who never rides with anything but goggles(no beanie, no helmet, not even his hood). It looks kinda funky. Anyways one night at Skibowl he was on the tear, I was making park laps behind him on Multi. This guy just has a strong hatred for skiers, and that night he was making it pretty clear he hated all skiers. Naturally some of the jerries got offended by his drunken remarks and called him out on it. This is at the top of Govyville Park off of Multi. This dude, his friend and the 3 Jerries were screaming at eachother's faces when one of the jerries gives him a little nudge and he falls back. His friend stepped in but he was also pushed over by one of the jerries. They were both down accepting their fate.. the dude didn't try to fight back and the jerries just rode down through the park. If my phone was alive I would have recorded the whole incident this was the funniest shit I have ever seen. Now whenever I see the guy he looks like he is a little more humbled, not as wild.. then again he could just be sober.

I think I know exactly who you're talking about. Pretty sure this dude was sitting in the lot opening day at Meadows last year. Spent more time talking shit about skiers than getting on the snow.

gotten in 3 with kids and one with a big family. The kids all just go behind this big bump on the side of the mountain nad fight it out but the family just threw shit at me on the chair and tried to beat me with their poles.

Some middle-age dude was yelling at me in front of his kid over some bs, the kid then tries to hit me with a ski pole and I threw the kid to the ground and just started to pound the living shit out of the kid. I knocked the motherfucker out right in front of the kids dad. I think I broke the kids jaw.

Yeah for real man. This one time this dentist dad all decked out in Spyder, Hestra, and Oakley gear started talking shit in the lift line about my Saga Jacket and Vishnu skis. He said full tilt boots are for turds. Meh whatever. Then as he was getting in his chair, he called me a gaper. Gapawhat? Set me off like fucking TNT. The whole lift up he was talking shit. I'm back here like "I'll kick your ass buddy" and some more stuff I'd rather not repeat. I was in a dark place. Once we got off the lift, I chased these fuckers down on the green trail they were cruising on. I tripped his kid who proceeded to fall face first into the snow guns. Knocked him out cold. Blood everywhere. Teeth a wreck. Then the dad and mom come at me like lions on the Serengeti. No worries. I took my skis off and used them as a bat to swing and knock that mom out of the park. She fell off trail into a ravine and that was the last I saw of her. Finally the dad dentist was about 5 feet from me by then. He had his poles out to stab me, but I was prepared. We sword fought like Zorro for a few minutes. That was until I kicked his knee out with my ski boot, and his teeth, then stabbed him in the eye like a Zombie. By this time, I could see ski patrol coming. I quickly used my Go Go Gadget telephone to call my trusty sidekick. He met me at the bottom of the run and we sped off like Rocky & Bullwinkle before the cops arrived. What a day!

I did all that but you don't see me bragging about it on here. Control your emotions ya crazy fucks.















Tldr? Yeah I made it up. Big surprise- it's the internet.

I was skiing with my little cousin, (4th grade) and this like 16 yo clothesline her so i pulled out a 12 gauge and shot down a ski lift and the chair slipped off and hit him

Hah! I wouldn't doubt it. He's a pretty notorious figure, me and the crew all know him by his fresh fades. Like I said no facemask, beanie, helmet, etc. He always has a pretty fresh fade and it's dyed. Also he has 1 friend with him or his little siblings or whatever they are to him, little kids. When I see him again i'll offer him a few pbr and see where the rest of the day/night takes us.

Not that crazy, but this one time skiing indoors this Jerry was smoking a cigarette. My friend called him out on it and Jerry gets all upset and starts yelling nonsense. Things settle down and a few runs later my friend nicely sprays Jerry head to toe at the bottom. Jerry then comes up and straight up punches my friend in the head. My friend kept his cool and walked away. Eventually we talked to some lifties and 2 managers who were all on our side and wanted to review security cameras to ban Jerry from the ski dome, so it was pretty chil

Only times I've ever gotten pissed at people on the mountain is while coaching. I'm in the lil park with beginners teaching them how to hit jumps and what not and so they're crashing and shit. There's always some douche, usually a white trash snowboarder who's just good enough to start regularly clearing the small line, who drops right after one of my kids has eaten shit in the landing. Apparently paying zero attention to anything happening in the area where he's planning to ride in the next several seconds... It's probably a miracle I haven't actually come to blows, cuz I've been fuckin PISSED before, but I always try to be more instructional cuz I want to set a good example for my kids.

I was sliding a rail once and some one threw a snowball at me from the lift and it hit me in the crotch. I would have gone after the kid but it was a good throw and I'm lazy.

I was like 12 years old barely 5 feet tall just standing in line for the lift minding my own business when this dude in front of me probably like 18 goes yo I like those goggles. I just respond with a simple thanks and he says let me get them. Me being very confused he grabs my goggles and tries to rip them off my helmet. Luckily I was with my brother who is in the army and jacked as shit is standing right next to me and shoves the kid to the ground and tells him if u touch my brother again ur dead. Dude turned around and didn’t say a word.

I've never seen or been in a fight at a ski hill. Closest is when little shitheads try to cut in the liftline and get called out or blocked. They either back down, or try to escalate then back down cause they're pussys.
gapersarefriendsNot so ski related but some of the best fights ive ever seen have been surfing.

Surfing defintely has more fights. I've never seen one at my break, but it's been close, often over waist high shit. One guy I surf with called out this dude who nobody likes cause he drops in on people constantly and thinks he's super zen for only riding hipster boards. Lots of words but no fists, probably cause the guy nobody likes would have lost. Guy I surf with is pretty built.

Not really a 'fight' just a funny incident. I was probably ~20yo. Skiing under the lift. A chair full of ~13 year olds over head on the chair were doing typical teenager stuff...yelling, swearing, throwing snowballs at everyone skiing below them. I looked up and made a quick mental note of what they looked like. A few runs later one of the kids stopped on the trail next to me and my buddy. We pounced on him, popped his skis off, and tossed them about 30' off the trail. Then we helped him pu and said 'learn some respect'. He was none the worse for wear but he did have to go crawling through the woods for his skis.

Auzyjust recently was cruising down the hill minding my own business when through my music I heard a hoard of F bombs dropping behind me I turn around and see some dude flipping me off. He claims that I cut him off (i was downhill skier so right of way) yells and me and starts hitting me with his pole. I just couldn’t believe someone could get so worked up over nothing. Anyone have stories of getting in fights or getting yelled at on the hill?

search4freshiesFirst fight I ever got in was at my local hill. I was a like 15, riding with 2 of my homies, and grew up 4 miles from the lodge; so my friends and I acted like we owned the place.

A few older dudes from another ski area kept snaking us, snowing us, shit like that. Respectfully, we let em know, this was our hill and we call our drops here. Well they didn't like that so much, and shoved one of my buddies off the slopes into the woods while he was riding, then scooted up the lift like little bitches. We caught up to them at the top of the lift, and immediately took off our skis and boards. I even took off my helmet (MAJOR MISTAKE). Walked up to the dude who shoved my friend, and swung with everything I had. SWING AND A MISS!!! Took me a millisecond to get it back together and in that time this dude clocked me right in my eye!

BOOM, it was on, 4 on 3, and with me being the biggest kid, I had to deal with 2 of em while my buddies were 1-on-1. Honestly when you're that age you have some sort of idea in your head how your first fight is gonna go. Let me tell you, this shit did not pan out the way I thought. After that fist to the eye, the other dude grabbed the back of my head and started throwing knees. WTF IS THAT SHIT EVEN LEGAL?! I managed to pick up my buddies board and bashed this dude in the back of the head like a WWF superstar. He was down for the count, snoozin.

Now it's back to 3-on-3, and I see my buddies getting their asses handed to em. I took another punch, but this time square in the side of my head (should've kept my helmet on!). "OW RETARD YOU HIT ME IN MY EAR!" Next thing I know we are tussling on the ground, and the lifties and ski patrol are pulling this kid off of ontop of me. As soon as they pulled him off I got up, tackled him, and tee'd off on this kids jaw with my ski boots on. Dude definitely lost a tooth or two right upfront, and needed more than a handful of stitches. Patrol was not happy with my cheapshot, but I felt like Edward Norton the beginning of American History X. Word of the fight spread over the walkie talkies on the mtn and the GM came out on a sled to see what was up. Luckily, he was a good friend of my Dad. He pulled the older guys' passes, and sent us home with our tails between our legs. I walked into the house with my 2 buddies, all beat up and bleeding, and my old man just laughed at us and said he just got off the phone with the mountain.

there appeared to be a fight club at hyland goin for a few yrs ovr by the big jumps amongst the obnoxious suburban middle school snowboarders who run hyland. Felt bad for their rents who were spending $500 a yr on passes for lil white timmy from edina to see how many times he could yell the n word n throw fake punches before his friends thought he was cool

I have def gotten super heated on the hill and a few people have tried to fight me, Im a pretty big dude and pretty confident in my fighting skills but for me, skiing is all about fun and friendly competition sometimes. The mountain is no pace for fights in my opinion, unless its self defense or some crazy they banged your girl wait until your done shredding and then through hands else where

One time I was shredding hard as fuck and I came up quick behind some some old lady who was snaking all over the hill going slow. Instead of waiting for a gap to pass her, I lost my temper and jumped on her piggyback style, which took her down real quick. I proceeded to mug her, taking things such as her wedding ring and other jewelry, money, anything I saw as valuable really. Her husband came out of nowhere and jumped on top of me, getting me in a full nelson. Being young and strong, I managed to stand up while in the full nelson, and whipped the old geezer off my back and into the trees. At this point the old lady was on her feet, I turned to her and punched her in the face, sending her dentures flying. I then skied away with her valuables and flipped them on ebay that night for a reasonable profit. True story, I promise.
