TheBagOTricksHow populated is the area? I wouldn't mind getting a bit of a city vibe if possible, lived in a small town my whole life
Profahoben_212South lake is like 20ish thousand....truckee is like 16 or 17 thousand I think....reno is like like 450,000.....so a much bigger city vibe. If I was to live on the lake South lake has a little more of a big city vibe.

TheBagOTricksWell the options really are SLC, Denver, and Tahoe area. To me Tahoe looks like the most scenic place, it's just beautiful. SLC has the Utah night life problem, and honestly other than the mountains looks like a barren wasteland. Denver obviously gives the best city life, but the hour+ drive to the mountains has me hesitant, especially if I can only ride weekends with the other 90% of Denver. I feel like Tahoe is a good mix of everything I want.
Main priorities are just good skiing, long seasons, stuff to do in the offseason, and decent city life. I'd probably move out there solo dolo at first and then have friends/fam move in with me once I get settled.

theabortionatorYeah dude, fuck that I70 traffic from denver. Also it's just far enough that it doesn't feel close. Reno and SLC are close to good skiing. SLC a bit closer depending on where you live and want to ski.
A lot of guys I work with at Northstar commute from Reno. It's not that bad. I've thought about buying a house in the area. Def easier to find cheap housing than around the mountains.
