My take of the day: snowmobiling is overrated asf

yes it’s awesome the places a sled can get you, but the act of snowmobiling just isn’t that fun.

I do fs front 4 all the time, so I've probably done fs b4 at some point I'll do one next time I'm at the slopes for sure.

Nikolai Shirmer is wack.
He's obviously a very good skier, but his videos are lame and he's a bad influence in skiing. At least twice he's made videos about quitting the overly exposed skiing and going back to less risky freeride. But then he's back to the near death experience videos a week later. I wish he'd take a break from feeding the risk fetishists and just catch some air or throw some tricks on terrain that's not guaranteed to be fatal.
Inb4 "just don't watch". A friend bombards me with his videos every week and occasionally i click through to see if they've gotten better. They haven't

He’s probably lowkey addicted to the dopamine and rush tbh. Need a bigger and bigger hit every time. It’s a real thing. Thats why it’s good to take a break and let your dopamine levels chill occasionally. Normalize out.

Nikolai is cool. Wouldn't say he is bad influence. Overall his videos have positive vibes. He is better influence as a person than lot of other athletes.

I'm not his most active viewer. I haven't see all of his videos. His videos are entertaining and high quality. He shows some of his mistakes which other influencers would have left out.

I feel like he is following the traditional road of adrenaline addicts. Gotta do more to get the same rush as before and for some it goes too far leading to death. Apparently his skiing got more reckless again after he broke up. Maybe it's just his way of fighting the demons. I don't blame him.

Other option is that he does it for the clicks. You do get a tasty clickbaits from risky adventures. I doubt this though.

Can you share the videos where he says he is going to stop?
