mrk127Have you learned FS F4 by now?
SlushSeasonNikolai Shirmer is wack.
He's obviously a very good skier, but his videos are lame and he's a bad influence in skiing. At least twice he's made videos about quitting the overly exposed skiing and going back to less risky freeride. But then he's back to the near death experience videos a week later. I wish he'd take a break from feeding the risk fetishists and just catch some air or throw some tricks on terrain that's not guaranteed to be fatal.
Inb4 "just don't watch". A friend bombards me with his videos every week and occasionally i click through to see if they've gotten better. They haven't

FruitBootProI’m genuinely so over skiing style right now holy shit. almost every clip i see on insta looks really horrible to me. fitted top and straight cut parachute pants, flapping your mittens everywhere and landing with your feet right next to each other. bring tall tees, afterbang, and xxl jackets back please i’m begging yall. we were almost there a couple years ago.

FruitBootProhonestly after this latest xgames i still feel this, maybe more than ever
dope event with a lot of unappealing style
genuinely surprised not even one skier wants to emulate henrik
mrk127My take of the day: snowmobiling is overrated asf
yes it’s awesome the places a sled can get you, but the act of snowmobiling just isn’t that fun.
jaxfulTrail riding is boring for sure, but a modern 850cc mountain sled on a powder day is debatably better than skiing on a powder day
armchair_skierVishnu wet is the new TW pro
FruitBootProRickety Ski Reviews is a good channel that gives actual reviews instead of generic promotion
His bad review on the arv 100’s is because he thought they were supposed to be a pow ski (lmao) and not a wide park ski
his style and preference doesn’t match up with ours but every once in a while it overlaps
GayWolf420He sounds retarded right off the bat if he thinks anything 100 is a "pow ski". Maybe at some shithole ski area in the Midwest.

hi_vis360In what way?
armchair_skierRidden by kids addicted to social media who are trash at skiing, with big egos, trendy outfits, and who chirp tf out of everyone around them

hi_vis360I mean it’s been like that since like 2019 lol, you’re just describing teen behavior
BiffbarfI was lookin at skis a while ago and I forgot what I was lookin for specifically but I remember the conversation with the retail goober went something like
'can I help you with anything?'
'yeah man I'm after the (something or other 90-something)'
'oh! Cool yeah we don't have those, any reason why you're looking for a ski so wide?'
I was so confused I didn't even know how to respond.
K-Dot.Arc beanie is the new Supreme box logo, and I mean that pejoratively
armchair_skierArcteryx brand image is in shambles
Almost as bad as what happened to carhartt

FruitBootProHonestly after watching a bit more of him I'm starting to go back on my original statement. After skiing some short Revolt 104's (park beaters) I'm starting to realize that 100-110 isn't shit for width unless you're sizing up.

GayWolf420In terms of short skis, yeah. I still believe that a ski in the 105-108 range is perfect for out west skiing.
FruitBootProi might crack and write a whole article ranting about how the conventional ski width "rules of thumb" are really a bunch of outdated bs
Rock_InhabitantI hate arc beanies. There is a friend group of about 10 people at my school that literally always have arc beanies on, and they are also the people who ski on 1000 skis, buy 25$ burgers daily, have the tight jacket over the baggy pants, can’t even hit rails despite every single piece of gear on their body being from a park-related brand, and have dismal style. Like mittens waving around like a fucking windmill. They think they’re “in the culture” but in reality they are just buzz lightyear copies of every other insta skier. It’s like they’re tryna gatekeep but they’re not even inside the gate. I prolly sound pretentious as fuck right now but damn. Fuck those people

TroyBallsackis it better or worse that all the arc beanie meatriders at my university 100% have never even touched skis? 95 percent confident they have never left the city either.
CeleryOverheard a group of these types, swagged out talking about how they were scared to spin on the baby jump.
Non_State_ActorArcteryx is a raincoat company, they don't even make skis .

hi_vis360You guys are hating on arcteryx but without the profits from those beanies amer probably wouldn’t be able to afford the losses on armada lol

FruitBootProcame across a couple videos of him today, one saying that “97mm underfoot is as big as you need for a daily driver out west” and “anything wider than 110 is overkill for powder” 😭 yeah maybe i was giving unc too much credit
armchair_skierWill Wesson is one of the most influential skiers of all time
