Christian_Balethought they were sick when they were new, now im not as much of a fan. I remember nick suchy did a sw dub pullback thing years ago and that might've been the first I'd seen. pretty sure teal was doing those pretty early too. still impressive now but kinda tired of seeing most of them.
weastcoatHis front swaps and big spins and very original trick selection paired with the hand whacking to the iPhone lens in almost every shot is so fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

RparrI dont mind the pullbacks, like a dub 10 pulled back to a 9, I feel like that one is becoming more common
It's the flips where they completely undo their entire rotation that I think are hideous, like the flat 3 to other way flat 3 (I have no idea how else to describe it lol) type of thing
Christian_BaleIf u watch it closely it’s a flat 3 to other way cork 7 or at least Troys looks like that
SofaKingSicknot ringing any bells. link me if you can? thanks

ParkingLotPissIdk having a wealthy family makes basically all aspects of life easier. so yes the accomplishments of people who come from money are definitely less impressive. It's no excuse for people who didn't come from money to not try as hard but its worth
acknowledging.
Even if you are the first over the finish line you don't get a gold medal if you only ran the last half of the race.
egirl.skii kinda like the emo/sad indie trend in music for skiing.

rojo.grandePoles are still an unnecessary liability
officechairI like it too. Any music can work if edited properly. I think country even has a place in edits.
Agate420Front up front up front 2 is the ugliest trick I have ever seen

iH8powPow is so stupid—snarled traffic at a standstill, long crowded lifelines, you die a slow death in an avalanche if it gets too steep and deep…
park is lord

oh and Protect Our Winters—they suck too. Telling congress my e85 tuned BMW is causing climate change so they can fly around the world in search of fresh deep pow… k

ThegenericskierFinally someone agrees with my anti pow day rhetoric. Park prevails all
jimbobsLegit unpopular opinion. MIPS is a waste of money.
jimbobsLegit unpopular opinion. MIPS is a waste of money.
egirl.skilegit uneducated opinion.
mips reduces the transfer of rotational force to the skull, and therefore, to the brain.
mips prevents enough concussions/mtbis to be worth the 10$ extra it costs
profa_212Were you the guy that posted that in some other thread around here? Id be down to see your info on hair/beanie acting as mips. Sounds interesting
I'm of the sound though that if I get protective equipment it's going to be the best I can get. So I'ma keep getting mips. But still interested to see
PartyBullshiitMIPS was proven across the board to be safer than non mips helmets. Study with actual testing data to prove as much.

jimbobsWell now i have no clue what to believe lmao, two studies saying opposite things. Appreciate the input
jimbobsAh hang on, this seems to be one of the tests where they use vertical drops on a slanted anvil with a headform free to move any direction, which is less realistic than the study I referenced. I’ll definitely take these numbers into consideration, but my study is supposedly closer to real-life use-cases with neck physics specifically taken into account. Can we agree that this needs further investigation on both sides before we can definitively claim any results?

skiermanMIPS does absolutely nothing to prevent your brain from smacking on the inside of your skull which is how concussions happen.
GayWolf420Prevention of injury vs. decreased severity of head injury are two completely different things that people who argue over helmets should understand. Even when you blow up your MIPS helmet, yes it did its job but you're still going to have post-concussive symptoms even if you don't feel them (because that's what they do.). I can guarantee that someone who breaks their helmet is not 100% okay.
egirl.ski-skierman
who is famously educated in both the physics of head impacts and the medical nature of traumatic brain injuries.
skiermanAh, taking a page outta Donald Trump's playbook I see.
profa_212How i understood helmets was that They do very little to nothing for minor hits, as they require enough force to start compressing the foam in order to make a difference. Which pretty much ensures a nasty concussion at the minimum. At the slower speed hits they're essentially just a hardhat.
hi_vis360For my 5000th post, I am here to tell all of you that I think mutiny, ten and two, and for lack of better are all shitty ski movies. the86 was the last good stept movie.
Ain’t no way I am sitting through some vid with a depressing vibe and scary ambient music with graphic surgery clips honestly wtf is the appeal I am trying to get excited to ski
LemuelAlright my turn:
mips or not, most of y’all need to get some neck muscles and learn how to fall. I see so many spaghetti necks whipping into the ground, and that’s what gets ya.
SofaKingSickagreed on the vibe but the level of skiing in Mutiny forward is SO much higher than the 86 and everything before
