SessionSnowboards are superior tools in powder.
icedhow much do you layer?
Ryanvdonkskis are too flat these days, give me some damn camber.
PlanktonI fucking detest watching people do pow slashes in edits. Especially when they do multiple in a row instead of linking real turns. You’re not skiing if you’re doing a full hockey stop every turn to make the snow look deeper and it sure as hell doesn’t count as a faceshot. I don’t even think it looks good when pros do it so don’t get me started on when people who can’t ski pow correctly try to do it. I’ve always felt this way but just got irrationally triggered by the pow “turns” in that upvoted Bridger Bowl edit on homepage right now (rest of it was sick, don’t get me wrong). Wow why am I so mad about this
K-Dot.Unnecessary dichotomy saying there is a way to ski "correctly". Variety in styles is a hallmark of freeskiing, you sound like a crusty unimaginative racer. Let people ski differently

DummyBearsI wouldn't say they are necessarily to fat. People are just buying fat skis for no reason so they seem to be everywhere. People ski park with 108s now. What ever happened to the 84-90 range of skis.

PlanktonYeah you’re totally right. I’m all for variety but skashes are the one pet peeve that really gets me. Call me a purist I guess. Anyone can ski how they want and it doesn’t affect me but the point of this thread is to voice your opinions, pretentious and pointless as they may be hahaha
Govygen_gourmetSkiing will never be as “cool” as skateboarding or snowboarding thanks to all of the rich snobs that over represent skiing. And no little jimmy just because you ski twin tip Head Skis and ski park doesn’t mean you aren’t a rich snob. You probably started out racing or doing sum rich ski kid shit. Stop Typing.
Only a small handful of skiers can really understand tha struggle and sometimes not even then, because we all know the bummy type of skier likely is a trust fund boy who gets monthly checks from their parents because they are scared their son is living in a suped up van and working in some shitty ski resort kitchen
buyfulltiltsdon't shit on someone ...
Don't exclude people

DeebieSkeebiesits just how the game is nowadays with all sorts of powder weapons at our disposal. I like to feel out deep turns as well and its a feeling that you cant describe but a heavy surf-like slasher on a windrift or something always looks rad
JerntI use the term boardslide while skiing
jibbersaurusno ski with less than 100mm underfood ever looked dope
midwesternmaniacSkiing is ultimately better sober in the long run. No doubt , the right amt of a substance could give you a boost in confidence or creativity , or just make it a fun time to dick around . but in the end , if you're sober , off a good night of sleep, and had some healthy food, your reaction time and body will be on point , and the skills/confidence you have will be super pure . Not trying to hate on anyone , cuz I skid under the influence of several things plenty times , but I swear , nothing comes close to the natural high of being truly on point with a clean (at least for the day) system
