PtraynorEdollo’s the only one who looks good in baggy shit
Jesse_I don't like daffy butters or @Tophaloaf simply because the trick is ridiculously easy (learnt it in about 10 mins) and I find the hype surounding it as a godly trick kinda annoying.
Might just be me but I don't get how he has such a big following for spamming easy as shit tricks like daffy butters or jumping over box and people will call it insane or "revolutionary"
theabortionatorSkate style filming is the worst shit ever. Combo that with mumble rap and it's simple unwatchable.
CT_CREWThis must be why you included a clip of you performing a botch job of Toph's daffy butter in the most recent edit you have posted?
When you are an OG like Topher, the countless hours/years dedicated to skiing just because you love it, shine through in your riding. Tiny nuances in skill/style developed over years can elevate the simplest maneuvers into mind bottlers.
Jesse_Hahahah I forgot this and about that edit, I included that to prove a point. That's also not my most recent edit...that clip is from 2 years ago. Get a grip though cause you clearly seem really mad about this if you're responding to a post I made months ago.
It's called the unpopular opinion thread for a reason, people clearly like his style but that doesnt change how retarded I think it looks.
Your argument is also flawed, people are allowed to form opinions even if they can do it "perfectly like he can", I can have opinions about quads even if i can't do them myself. His style is wack in my personal opinion, call it what you will.

Rum_HamThis has nothing to do with skiing. Also PMT is hilarious.
NedStarkProtect Our Winters is run by and supported by hypocrites with huge carbon footprints, Jeremey Jones and Caroline Gleich are both insufferable. Most young people in ski towns dress like they've had a small stroke.

SofaKingSickconfused because barstool sucks but your use of "cuck" means you most likely suck even more
AndbrerBeginner skiing lessons are a waste of money, your friends can show you how to put a boot on, put your weight onto the front of the skis and snowplough in about 30 minutes, beginner ski lessons sliding around the flat with one ski on is a waste of time and money
hubbardsRails are incredibly uninteresting to watch.
Off axis spins, flips, and grabs on top of that are astronomically more difficult and impressive.
Every season a bigger kicker or a bigger cliff can be dropped, but rails? What’re you gonna make a longer rail? More kinks? So what?
The nuances of grinding a rail are too subtle for it to be appreciated by anyone who can’t do it.
CalumSKIwatchng people hit hugenpark jumps in comps is like deja vu
same trick every time
backcountry is wayyyy better to watch
KilaTsunamiI'm just calling it like exactly the way I see it... buncha +35 year olds w/ sons & daughters reposting all that slutty college content seems little suss, no?
hubbardsUr right in that sense cause comp skiing is really dry for some reason
Pillow stomping and backcountry kickers are really nice.
fghtoffyrdmns4xl tall tees are and always will be the best look for skiing

RparrI've been thinking about this for years. I think they've become so popular because they mask the smaller movements of your body, which typically makes your skiing look "cleaner" in a way

ColingarnesYou have used cuck, suss, and fag in your last two posts.. your opinions are invalid.
Crust_StationSo what you’re saying is you can’t hit rails and you feel left out?
LonelyRails are much more accessible to the general public than crazy huge kickers,
LonelyThere is definitely a limit to the size of kickers and cliffs that have been dropped.
hubbardsI'd say proportionally the size range of air is a lot bigger than the size range of rails if that makes sense. Upscaling a rail doesn't have the same jaw dropping effect.
hubbardsIf you're speaking in a context of people trying to find them, then you're right because kickers are much harder to set up than rails.
What I mean is the accessibility of the public to the idea of jumps vs rails. Literally anyone can pop off of a small bump and get stoked by the few inches of air they got, but nobody can just hop onto a rail without being likely to eat shit.

a_burgergood thing I don’t ski solely to make gapers and other non skiing randos impressed
rails are fun as fuck especially a nice fat tube, surface swapping almost feels as good as laying down some nice carved

hubbardsGood point, you got me.
But at some point one has to consider the opinions of gapers and randos, because if we have their favor the industry will turn towards freeskiing and advance the sport. Simply saying “we don’t care about outsiders” isn’t going to help bring those same people in. Whether or not you want those people in is up to you ig. Whatever floats your boat.
LonelyThey see some video of guys at nine knights then go overshoot a jump and kill themselves. Then the small mountain they were at dials back the jumps and terrain park and we're all punished for it. Bails on rails suck, but a gaper is much more likely to hit a booter outside their skill level than a rail. Even though the crash they're gonna have off a 50 footer is gonna be much worse than the crash off a dfd.

a_burgeras someone who likes the bunch interpretation is my least favorite of their movies, I can respect it as an art project but the b-roll takes up too much of the movie. Would have liked it more if the whole thing was like the second half.
BASEDJAHAgree 100% Far Out is the best bunch movie
