Are my skis too small?

Hey guys, I’m a very aggressive s skier and I’m 14 and 5’ 3, I weigh 108 pounds. I usually like to ride park and can backflip. I was wondering if 148 skis are too small for me or if they’re ok? Thanks

Just get bigger skis next season. Obviously you're gonna grow and skis that are at chin height(?) should be fine for you for one season. I don't think it'll effect your riding much at all, but it comes down to how they skis feel for you

It was only this time last year that I went from skis that were an inch under chin height to 182's that are at my forehead. It wasn't too hard for me to adjust to the weight but definitely took a few small sessions to get used to.

I have always liked my skis at my forehead. It helps me in powder a lot more. But if your more of a park skier I would recommend about chin height.

overall, the skis will be fine. it’s all personal preference. But, since you’re 14, you may grow. i think i speak for the entire park community when i say no one likes that kid who has ridiculously short skis. my advice, is if you can, try investing in some large skis. when i was 13, i was 5’2”, but got 163s. they were big at first, but it gave me a lot more control. now that i am 5’6” i’m really not regretting it. it’s all your call though. In my opinion, go bigger than you think than as opposed to smaller. good luck

Your weight has a lot to do with it as well. So at 108 lbs 148 should be fine. If your on 148's you are on the last size of a junior twin tip. So your next ski will be a big jump up in stiffness, length, and width as it will be an adult ski. So enjoy your last season on a junior ski with that light soft forgiving flex.

I'm a fully grown adult (sometimes I'm not sure about the "adult" part) at 5'2 115 pounds and a 148 would be wayyyy too small for me. I'd say 155-165cm would be better depending on the camber/rocker profile. Longer if it's rockered and you ski outside the park.

14 and 103 ibs you gotta eat big to get big start loading on some protein and you'll be hucking 30 foot cliffs in some 174's in no time. Stay gold Ponyboy.

I usually get skis that are the same height as me. Around 180. I do have a lot of rocker in my skis so it's ok. I like doing butters as well and i think that it helps having a longer ski. But if you are going to do more agressive spin to win things i think you should get some around your nose.
