Why do you love skiing?

I love skiing because it reminds me of my family.
I love skiing because I love seeing everybody's smile on the hill, my govy fam, the tourists(Even though they can get in the way we all have fun).
I love skiing because i've met many awesome people while skiing,
I love skiing because chairlift convos with strangers are fucking awesome
I love skiing because I love setting up my little base camp on top of Palmer on a hot summer day and returning every other run to chill and take in all that the summer has to offer
I love skiing because, Night Skiing at Skibowl on a midweek day is the shit
I love skiing because I love doing random Hoodrat shit at a random Hoodrat spot and getting hurt in the process
I love skiing because.. The feeling of hucking a sketchy looking cliff, followed by a sketchy fucking line, knowing if you fall you could probably die(no helmet gang) or get really fucked up; is almost orgasmic

I love skiing because it’s not nearly as good as snowboard

seuriously tho whatever gets you up on the mountain whether ur on one plank or two

I love skiing/snowboarding because when u strap up and get onto the mountain all of ur problems melt away even if it’s just for a few hours

Because skiing is fucking awesome! Most people are so friendly and chill and just out there to have fun. Nothing like zipping 50mph down the mountain and getting that rush of adrenaline, serotonin, and dopamine all at once.

I remember the first time I went skiing at little ole Peek N Peak, 110ac, 400vert. Came home, went sled riding the next week, and thought sled riding was the dumbest shit ever. Thank you skiing for ruining sled riding for me.

Skiing is great because you can escape so much bad shit going on in life and the world and forget about it and have fun with your homies. It is a great feeling being able to do anything and the feeling of grinding rails, hitting jumps, pow turns, etc is all just so great. Skiing is a get away from all the bullshit to just have fun.

This is so fucking true and I think this where snowboarding and skiing get so close bc you get that feeling on skis and/or on a board. I mean whether ur homies r skiers or snowboarders either way u leave all of life’s shitty problems behind when u get on the chair

I love feeling like a fuckin super hero. Shralpin and boosting around the mountain at max speed. I like the gratification of sticking an air in front of a hot Liftie or tourist. I love the reflection time on the lift. I love the views. I really love the gear and how cool it looks. But most of all, skiing is simple. You go wherever you want and don’t overthink it. It’s a place where I’m in control and going with the flow. Control and flow are not things to describe me off hill.

The camaraderie. Nothing better than ripping around with a group of friends where everyone is having a blast and pushing each other. The best days are those soft spring days where everyone is out and feeding off the energy on the hill and trying new stuff.

When you're riding solo, it's just a nice time to escape from the daily grind.

Anytime I ski I always think to myself (even if it’s 40 degrees and a steady downpour) that there really is nothing else I’d rather be doing and nobody that I know on a personal level is having more fun right now besides my ski buds. Millions of more reasons.

I love the feeling when you hit a massive booter or cliff drop and for a split second right as you launch the adrenaline kicks in and time literally seems to slow down. They actually did studies on this and the 'frame rate' which your brain processes data changes so you perception of time changes as well. Its just that moment of complete mastery on such a massive mountain that is so addictive. Its all about that cycle of gratification: Scared as hell --> focused as shit-->Stoked as fuck.
