Dalbello flex advice

Did you visit/consult a bootfitter? They would be able to provide much more info than we can on the interwebz.

That said a 130 boot is stiff and while I don't know the specific boot at all usually the flex adjustment is 10 ''flex points'' lower so in this case it would be 130 and 120 or stiffer and stiff. The flex ratings are not uniform throughout boot manufacturers and are at best a loose guideline.

the boot adjusts to a flex similar to the dalbello panterra 90 ish. The 3 piece boots alow for a more intense flex adjustment. So it gets very soft. I have tried on the 120 version and it fit my foot like a glove. And no i have been unable to find reviews that aid in my situation. I Will go to REI today to ask about the boot flex adjustment and see if it just had 2 flex levels or if i can adjust in the middle and find a sweet spot.

Not sure how you would really get a softer flex on a 3-piece cabrio boot without changing the tongue. As most of the stiffness comes from it.

If by average skier, you mean bad at skiing than ya they'll be 2 stiff. But if you're a good skier with good technique it's all personal preference.

imo the whole panterra line has a softer flex than most boots with the same flex rating, such as lange, atomic and salomon. While flex numbers are arbitrary and don't translate across manufacturers or even model lines, the 3 piece design allows for a softer perceived feel. The hard/soft switch is just that, hard or soft. If you set it in the middle, the first time you flex the boot it will revert to..im guessing here, the soft position. The adjuster just spins a plastic bar that block the wings on the lower shell from flexing closed. Meaning all of your flex comes from the front tongue of the boot. The soft setting is about a 115-120 dalbello flex rating.

For a solid intermediate skier 130 is to stiff if you weigh 163, but some people like riding stiff boots so it's really your call.

On a krypton pro now which has the 130 flex...as the boot breaks in a like it a lot its a solid solid boot. Came off Nordica Patron Pro's I liked a little more though.Slightly stiffer and had a more "race" feel
