Get sterling Klondike leather liners (leather outside) and buy some single layer ragg mitt from fox river. Together they are the shit. Minnesota level warmth.
Just got the Hestra henrik leather pro model mittens and fell in love with it. It has individual finger spaces in them, low profile cuff so no snow gets in and it fits easily under your sleeves, and also a elastic wrist strap to slide your hands through so they will never fall off of the chair lift. They are perfect for me and look so so nice. Check them out. The only downside is the price but they are well worth it and really warm.
they are all fine, armada's, hestras, etc. You get what you pay for. Pimp hands are chyl, some people are really into saga ones, a lot of people f/w just leather work gloves too.
If money is no object then Northface Himalayan Down Mittens. I have the 800g fill weight ones. If you can't find those, the ones they make now are 600g which is still OK. Warmest mittens/gloves I've ever had.
My hands used to always go numb with any glove. Now they're always toasty.
