IsitWinterYet17Go off like what? Explode? Maybe. Why don't you test it in your dryer at home
strayln_SkierHaha what, go off means it goes all sour or "out of date".
IsitWinterYet17I've never heard that expression before. Why not just say that lol?
And according to Wikipedia and some other sources, long life milk, also known as Ultra High Temperature processing milk is sterilized by heating to 275°F and then packaged aseptically which gives it the extra shelf life.
The EU has regulations on UHT milk. Has to remain sterile for 7 days at 131°F or 15 days at 86°F. 131°F is comparable to a car on a hot summer day.
Considering how the products are packaged and required testing, you should tell your friends they are 100% wrong and they can fuck off. This product is sterile, aka no microbes, after packaging and will remain that way for the duration of the shelf life. The taste might alter a bit or it might not, but it definitely won't "go off" as you put it. Still safe to drink assuming the package is unopened.
mystery3Don't drink ultra pastuerised dairy and do keep being super aussie/kiwi, we love you guys for it!
mystery3Had I actually taken the time to read your username I'd have known that but I'm american and we aren't known for our reading prowess. We also lump the people who reside on your techtonic plate together as we cannot tell the difference in the accents or affectation.
