I joined NS a few months ago, and since then I've learned a lot about how to use the site. Unfortunately, the pinned guide ("n00bs guide to NS" or something like that) is very old and almost unusable with the new layout.
I am wondering if anyone would be interested in an updated "guide to NS" post, from a new user's perspective. I have a lot of things to share that I wish I knew when I joined, and of course I would be open to adding others' suggestions.
Right now, I have a few sections I want to include:
- Advanced formatting guide
- Explanation of some profile settings
- Name colors and donator status
- Sorting and searching content (and how to search NS using google)
- Differences between NS and other networking/social sites (karma, icon vs. profile pic, etc.)
