Why is there hate on Jskis?

I just bought my first pair of The J Friends ski and fuckin love them but I want to know why there’s a stigma around them. I don’t get it. These skis do it all and are so playful and rip all over the mountain. I wanna hear the opinions for or against just to understand it. They’re made by one of the greatest influencers on the ski community. Is it the marketing? What’s the deal?

.lenconGood luck finding any ski on a pow day. You're not losing it cause of its color, you're losing it cause it's 3 feet deep out there. You can have a ski blacker than mommas burnt toast, but if it's 3 feet under snow you ain't gonna see shit.


Yeah I know. I've lost skis before. I was just saying in general. For example if the tips were sticking partially up.

Anything with *kush* on the base of the ski is gonna get picked up by a 13 year old who thinks it's cool to snake someone on a flat box.

I expected them to be more serious about the actual skis and designs. Apparently Jason left line skis to make slightly different skis and flavor of the week top sheets? Didn't see that coming.

I went to a ski shop last year wearing a j skis shirt and a employee asked me if I owned a pair of their skis and when I said no he said good. We started talking about why he didn't like the company and his opinion was that Jason Levinthal knew how much he had done for skiing and because of that he was a douche, I thought this was dumb but I can see how some people would think that.

Made Full tilt boots? Full Tilts (Raichle) were around with pretty much the exact same design before Jason Levinthal was born.
