Dakine Heli Pack

Hey guys,

just wondering about the Dakine heli 12l pack and if it is the ‘amazing’ pack it’s been advertised as or is it all just in the brand?
Any other suggestions as to similar pack styles on the market?

12l you can just about fit a condom in it.

Honestly even for a slack country pack I would get the 20l heli pro. It’s been my go to sack for god knows how long. Had about 8 diffferent ones over the years.

Get the 20l its compact enough to not throw you around but you can fit your whole life in it too, they are pretty bomb proof as well (mine have been at least)

I have the 12L, it's a great pack but don't even think of fitting goggles in the "goggles pocket". They just don't fit. I use this pack to carry the water pouch on hikes during summer. For skiing I have the Heli 24L.

Heli 12 will be wayyyy too small, I'd go with a 20L or even a 24L as those offer quite a bit more functionality and the form factor is great. I've had the 20L for like 4 years now and the thing is still in great condition and I've heard the new version is just as good if not better. Dakine makes a kick ass pack thats for sure so the branding shouldn't be an issue in this case.

The 12L is an awesome bag I use it sometimes for carrying stuff around the resort (Aka beers and what not) and some really small sidecountry tours. Go with the 20L. The 12 is to small.
