I skied for a few hours today and when I took my boots off I had an excruciating pain on the sides of my shins (the outside, not inside). My boots weren’t too tight or too loose. Anyone have a solution for this? My boots may or may not be too big, so is it my heel sliding around or what?
Were you on fat skis? Those muscles take a lot of strain to resist a fat ski rolling when you are up on edge, mainly on firm snow. Making sure your boots are tight and supporting your foot to relieve those muscles helps. Make sure your ankle is snug and your upper boot is supportive. What sort of liners do you have?
