wondering if they has a good park. was supposed to go last year but i ended up going to pats peak (friend had a ssn pass to pats. If ur wondering why im asking about smaller mtns when mt snow and killington are just an hour away i live alot closer to smaller hills. idk jw where there is a good park around my house thanks.

They used to have a pretty sick park. I went over there for the video park in 09/10. We just rode for the weekend.

That said I've heard things have declined a bit. I know they had a bunch of features, so hopefully they still set some good stuff up. Seemed like things weren't getting maintained for a bit. I've never been to pat's peak so I'm not sure how it compares.

Do they still do that shit where the mountain is open till 4am on saturdays? That shit was awesome but I can't imagine trying to maintain a park when you're only closed for a few hours. Seems like a nightmare.

my friend just happens to live in that town and i get the drifter pass for mt snow and boulder so i go once a year and they have some good shit but the park is pretty ass still so fun to do the midnight madness shit tho

Yeah they still do that, you are right about maintainging stuff they dont shape things till awhile after a powder day

It might be good this year, they apparently have something new for the groomers to make steep and nice landings, and my friend who’s pretty nasty will be in charge of what’s going in I think. The park manager is an x games medalist for skating so it’ll be better than recent years I hope. I’ve skied there for the last 10 years and it definitely was good until 2013/14

Yes a winch, was told about it earlier today. I’m hopeful, I’m thinking they’re fed up with everyone shitting on them. But what people don’t understand about some of it is they aren’t allowed to do some stuff I guess, but still suck ass with maintenance and re builds

my brother and a friend went up for the day there and their park crew was nowhere to be found lol. they ended up pulling rails of from the side of the trails and setting them up cuz no one was around.

Yup I’ve done the same, some days nobody is there even on weekends, they rarely maintain the park but at least during the week they don’t really need to.

Theyre blowing snow for a rail jam this coming Friday night as well, hope weather works out.

Nah probably not I went today and it was pretty nice, park is pretty good. Still kinda recovering from a concussion so I’m taking it light.

Idk if you still need this info, but as a local I can confirm the parks are sucky. Not horrible, but they don't have many features variety. And if you are looking for jumps its a no go.

Jump at bottom was mint for like 2 days, seemed like they tried this year but weather is shit. The GM is a race dad and doesn't like the park management so it's not necessarily the park crews fault, except when they put stupid ass features in. Many of the bigger and better rails are ancient too so idk if that plays a part.

yea i love how u always have enough speed and the rails are always greased and they change up the features so much. Also nick goepper has the best style out of any skier in the world

No parks I believe or at least very few features, more of a skiing mountain, might go this weekend since I have a pass

Probably the best chairlift in the world and definitely in the East in terms of it being super long but also super fast most 'high speed' quads or 6 packs run at 60% and are barely faster than a fixie. Hop on the lift at Wildcat after skiing anywhere else and you notice the difference. They also pride themselves on not slowing it down for wind holds. You will hear employees say shit you won't hear anywhere else like 'Usually the wind isn't side to side and is up/down the mountain so we can run full speed up to 50mph gusts.' Great terrain and awesome runs. No real park though.

They're across from Mt. Washington so I imagine their mountain ops crew can handle some shitty weather.
