roharathe Descendant will have a more durable sole, the dropkicks dont have much extra on the base to stop them wearing down. more importantly though they are different fits, dropkicks narrow and descendant is wide so if one of them fits you the other won't
IsaacShepardI was skiing on the Descendant 6 but I found that the buckles bent easily and the ankle piece that attaches to the cable broke. Its a plastic piece that attaches to the ankle pivot screw and the cable connects to it, but not around the screw. Both of mine broke, so I had to end up just wrapping the cables around the ankle screw. I now have the dropkicks, and I love them (I have a narrower foot), but the buckles after a while will slip and not stay in the track where they are supposed to. I just jam something like a nail or something metal in the track to keep them from slipping before buying new buckles, but im cheap haha.
