theabortionatorI'm still bummed at how late they teach second languages in the states. Should be learning spanish to some extent by 3rd grade imo. Would be cool to add a third language in eventually as well.
We didn't start taking a language till 7th grade and it was online and over the phone. Didn't have a teacher that spoke spanish until 10th grade. Luckily I retained a decent amount but wish I had gotten more. Also trying to learn another language now but it's tough. Had started 4 years ago and then I broke my head again and forgot everything. Have gotten back into it again but jesus it's slow.

Good luck with the survey. Sorry for the rant. I just don't understand why we don't focus more on learning new languages.
It's beyond odd how late we start teaching our children second languages.
This video is an example of the prime time to teach a child a second language so that they are duallingual, not bilingual. By the time we're in high school, we have passed our prime in ease of learning a new language.
