Choose my travelling destination

Alright guys, I have a time window from mid-May to mid-September next year, where I plan to get away from home (Switzerland) for at least a month.

What do you think would the best place to visit be, where I can ski for some time, but am still able to see nice places apart from skiing?

Places that are on my mind are Australia, New Zealand or maybe Chile. Cities or towns like Queenstown, Cardrona, Perisher etc. You see where I'm going...

Are there other countries, maybe in the northern hemisphere, that are worth looking into in connection with skiing? Summer camps in Canada or USA? How is the summer skiing in Norway, Sweden or Finland?

For those who already have some experience in trips of this sort, what is my best bet when it comes to accommodation? Hotel or some kind of apartment?

Haven't really thought the financial part through, but I don’t think it should be a problem, as long as I’m not staying at five star hotels.

Every response is highly appreciated and sorry if this is the wrong thread. Feel free to change my mind...

Come to Aus and ski Perisher and Thredbo. Go for a look down the south coast of NSW which is pretty fuckin sick.

We also have surprisingly good Backcountry here.

Oregon spring is really fun and good vibes. Timberline spring passes are usually good though the end of May. If it's like last year California was still really good in the late spring too if you like to road trip. Lots of other cool stuff to do that time of year. Not uncommon to get off the mountain and have great warm weather. Rivers lakes and the gorge are close and it's under 3 hours from the mountain to the Ocean. No sales tax here either.

I never lived South Island but NZ is dope. I would def go back.

I think I'm going to work at Thredbo or Perisher next summer though. Never been skiing in Aus, just surfed.

I was gonna suggest you go ski in Switzerland for the culture, the scenery, the sunny days, etc, but you already live there! If you want to ski during the summer, you have very few options. Whistler, South America, New Zealand and Australia are the best options. Considering you speak English, I recommend Australia or NZ. However if you want a totally different more immersive travel experience, countries like Chile and and Argentina will fill your cup. Whistler is great and all but its gonna be pricey, busy, and the quality of skiing will be better in the Southern hemisphere at that time of year.

Does anyone know whether this site http://www.huiput.fi/ has any e-mail I could write too to find out everything I need? You see, I don't like reading from sites much, I've always been sure that managers are people who are able to explain everything better than a couple of lines on a site...and by the way, which of those companies would you advise me to use? I'm going to set up a business in Finland, a pay day loan would do well for me here, I'm quite well-to-do, no problem!
