Volvo c30 lambo doors

I have watched many videos on almost every car out there on YouTube about installing lambo doors (scissor/vertical doors whatever) but I have never seen them installed on a volvo. I am trying to find out I'm I'm going to have to put in more body work that cutting put the inner fender because any more than that idk If I'll get them. If anyone has any information it would help me a lot because these hinges are very expensive.

Honestly your probably right but I already have rims, coilovers, exhaust, sound system I'm just running out of ideas on what else to do. Plus I'm a big fan of lambo doors

Paint your valve cover, paint your calipers, cold air intake, aftermarket grill/bumpercover, etc. There are lots of small things you can do to your car before starting such a risky and expensive project.

Forgot to mention, look into a hydrogen on demand system, best results for the money. If you're too lazy to look it up, it's basically a method of changing your current gas consumption efficiency from around 40% to 100%. Easily costs less than $100 to create and install too, because it only requires mason jars, baking soda, and water.

Dude there's hundreds of mods you can do that are actually practical, performance enhancing, easy to do, aesthetically pleasing, and reasonably cheap. Don't do lambo doors, it's about as ricey as it gets.

do yourself a favor and dont waste anymore money devaluing your car. you are sinking money into a car and not adding value with most of these mods. when you sell your car the money you are going to get back once heavily modified is a fraction of what you get with a stock car

bigger turbo, steering wheel, seats, engine swap, body kits(don't get that ricer shit), wing, theres a bunch of engine shit you can to too, injectors, cams, better pistons, pulleys, new fuel system, suspension. don't get lambo doors people will make fun of you

When that first wave of go fund mes hit I was gonna make one for $10k and put hydraulics on my subaru so I could bounce through the parking lot. I should have done it. Not because I really wanted it, but because it was a better use of money than sending britney to costa rica or buying chad tickets and gas money to bonnaroo.

If its what you want to do, and you think it will make you happy, I say give it a shot.

I would however consider the cons that a lot of others have mentioned in this thread. It WILL decrease its value generally speaking. If you ever want to sell it, to buy a different car that you decide you like more... Then youve got to find someone who thinks lambo doors on a Volvo are as cool as you think they are.

That being said I've never seen it before. Definitely would be unique

Fake news. Here's why. Those supposed generators run off the battery that your car charges while it runs. The principle is that you separate the hydrogen and oxygen that forms water, inject them into your engine and they are an explosive mixture which means now you're partially using hydrogen/oxygen rather than gasoline.

The problem you're taking energy from the gas you use to break those bonds. The energy from blowing them up is = to the energy required to break the bond. However, since no process is 100% efficient you lose energy breaking the H2O appart and you don't even get it all back when it combusts in your engine.

Even if the system worked PERFECTLY you could never get more energy from the hydrogen and oxygen than the energy you stole from the gasoline to separate them. Don't believe everything you see on YouTube.

You seem knowledgable on this subject, and you’re right that it requires your battery to exert more energy to make the process possible. But as I understand it, the combustable O and H being sent to your combustion chamber is in fact increasing the fuel efficiency because it is in addition to the regular amount of gasoline your car would use. Yes, the battery works harder, but I don’t understand how that would detract from the efficiency when the battery is only responsible for powering the ignition coils and spark plugs. Correct me if I am still failing to understand this, I am genuinely curious.

maybe because your alternator needs to work harder, which would cause excess strain on your crankshaft which is responsible for powering your serpentine belt?

This is going to be a long post but I think I've covered all the bases. I'll break it down into 2 cases and discuss from there:

1. Split hydrogen and oxygen from water, burn the in the engine get back water. What is accomplished? literally nothing we just get back water so the energy we used to split it is = the energy we get back from burning them.

2. The way people tell you that you get more power is because, we don't burn the hydrogen and oxygen together in the engine to get water again the oxygen now combines with the gas to get complete combustion.

Is complete combustion more efficient than incomplete combustion? Yes. However lets say instead of getting complete combustion, we kept the same incomplete combustion and burned the hydrogen and oxygen back into water as previously mentioned. It turns out that you will get more energy back from burning it like this compared to using the hydrogen and oxygen produced to achieve complete combustion. What that means is that case 1 is more energy efficient than case 2.

Since in case 1 we know that there is a net gain of 0 energy, we know this car cannot be more efficient. and yes, the energy required to split the water basically leeches horsepower from your engine. and then when you add the hydrogen and oxygen back you would regain that horsepower. But since no system is ever 100% efficient you lose energy converting the water to hydrogen and oxygen and then back into water again, meaning you simply add a net decrease in efficiency to your engine with this system.

If you don't believe me that burning the hydrogen and oxygen right back into water produces more energy compared to using the oxygen for complete combustion of gasoline, let me know.

It'll kill the resale value if you're interested in changing cars down the road. I get that the doors are long but lambo doors only belong on lambs.
Post pics of it, I love those things, they're one of my favorites to see at work, rich veteran came in with his US version Polestar c30 recently and everyone drooled.

But yeah don't do lambo doors.

Fuck your coilovers, change this baby into a rally hatchback. No need to engine swap either, just get an ecu upgrade and put XC70 springs on her.
Seriously though, lambo doors are ricey as fuck on anything non-supercar. Volvos rip and a rally build would be awesome on a c30

Power before looks dude. Swap in an engine from a T-5, and put a bigger turbo on it. Also, do a manual swap if its an auto.
